What a beautiful church with amazing artistic and architectural details! It is certainly one of those places I would recommend that you see if you were visiting Lugano. It is a fabulous example of European craftsmanship. Stopping to pray or meditate, or simply to take in this historic example sacred architecture.

#Accessibile ♿ La Chiesa di San Rocco si affaccia sulla omonima piazza nel centro di Lugano, ornata da alcuni alberi ad alto fusto. La chiesa è riccamente affrescata su tutte le pareti e le volte. È presente un grande organo. Mi ha colpito lo stile antico della chiesa: un grande pulpito ligneo fa bella mostra; Le panche, o sarebbe meglio dire banchi da chiesa, sono belli pensando che nelle chiese italiane e ne vedono pochi; L’altare (spero di non sbagliare) è di ispirazione pre-Concilio con la balaustra marmorea ed il cancelletto in ferro battuto che impedisce ai fedeli l’accesso.
