I had a really good time here. So much so that I actually visited twice during my two-night stay in Lugano.
All the staff were very well-trained, friendly and caring. Food was very well thought. In most places, when you order some pasta, you are basically having pasta sauce. Here, you can actually taste pasta itself as they don't treat it as some space filler to hold sauce. It makes you feel like they respect each and every ingredient they put on a plate.
I use to think Crème Brûlée is overrated (It's just baked custard. What is there to be excited about it?) I tried one here because my waiter recommended it. And he was absolutely right to suggest one. It has a hint of citrus in it, which accentuates the flavor of the otherwise monotonous dessert.
If I ever get a chance to visit Lugano again, I'll definitely stop by. They said their seafood items are pretty good. I'll give it a shot next time.
Also, they are open late. If you get in late, come here. Just because it's late doesn't mean you can't get any...
Read moreOur family had lunch here on Easter Day, we were really looking forward to this as we had read all the good reviews. I was very disappointed regarding the quality of the food. My vongole pasta was full of sand and a huge rock (bigger than the average vongole in my dish) inside my plate (photo). When I told the waiter at the end of our meal (nobody came to ask how was our meal till then), he took my dish away and brought me back the rock and left it on the table. He said this is a natural rock, no apologies made. When I cook vongole at home I make sure I scrub them clean and put them in cold water to remove any sand, I would expect a restaurant would follow a similar or better method to clean the clams and not just serve them with all the sand and dirt (and rocks) they can carry. We didn’t stay for dessert or asked for anything in return to our poor dining experience as it wasn’t worth staying a single minute more in this restaurant. There are so many other great options in the area, best to...

During our stay at the restaurant we were constantly surveilled by the waiter and felt rushed. Our condiments (oil and salt) were taken from our table without being asked and given to the other table. The waiter was rude and and just unfriendly in general.
The food was extremely disappointing too. The risotto with red wine and cheese was overwhelmingly bitter and there were two slices of what looked like toast cheese sheets. It smelled and tasted awful. Besides that the pizza prosciutto was 70% meat and we had to take it off because it was just too much.
For three people the meal costed 84fr and we were debating if it was even worth a penny.
Truly...
