Have you ever been to the top of Europe? I’ve been to #Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe - the highest train station in Europe at a staggering 3,454m above sea level - thanks to its centennial railway, which was inaugurated in 1912. And recently, a new #EigerExpress tricable gondola was launched, which took me from Grindelwald to the #EigerGlacier station in just 15 minutes. Jungfraujoch lies in the heart of the Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Europe’s longest glacier. Open 365 days here; snow and ice are 100% guaranteed. The Sphinx viewing building, the Ice Palace, and the plateau for walks in eternal snow are the year-round attractions on the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe. Also, Jungfraujoch is Europe’s highest permanently manned research and weather station. It was my second time here, and I still couldn’t get enough of it. The gust of icy air sweeping over my face, snow crunching under my shoes, and the otherworldly panoramic white beauty took my breath away. It made me feel I was in a dreamland: on one side, there was the Swiss Mittelland; on the other, the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four thousand metre peaks. It is a sight to behold. My experience became super memorable because I had lovely Erika Mattle. A 75-Year-old guide who is a living example of ‘age is just a number’ philosophy. She showed me all the attractions and explained everything in detail with a childlike curiosity and enthusiasm. When are you visiting Jungfrau – The top of Europe? Strong recommendation. Another wonderful attraction from Jungfrauhoch summit. Long icy tunnels leads your way to the amazing glacial ice caves. There are so many marvellous pice of art and work inside. Everything carved out of ice and very nicely maintained. There are numerous ice sculptures that you would not stop admiring. There are numerous small ice tunnels inside, which are really cool to walk through. Do not forget to get a picture with TOP OF EUROPE Ice sculpture, it its one of its kind. Although we were there during the summer, we still needed a light jacket. So warm clothes are definitely recommended. The ice is slippery and we did see people falling down, so be careful while walking. It is included with your Jungfrauhoch ticket and it requires 15-20 minutes of time to explore it nicely.

After our visit to Titlis' Ice Palace last year, I was so looking forward to come to Jungfraujoch's Ice Palace hence I heard so much praises about it. The tunnel inside Jungfraujoch's Ice Palace was much longer & complex than the Titlis' one, it also has more ice sculptures & displays comparing to Titlis'. I really appreciated with the efforts for the builders to build the Palace and sculptures too. However, for some reasons, I didn't enjoy it as much as at Titlis' Ice Palace, maybe it's due to the fact that I didn't like the white lights inside, or maybe I was a bit catastrophic, or maybe I had already been to one so had too high expectation beforehand? Having said that, my wife loved it & had a great time, which it all matters to...

Jungfrau, top of Europe in Switzerland is the most famous tourist spot. Take the Eigerexpress to reach to the top. One of the most popular parts of Jungfrau is the Ice Palace. The Ice palace is made of ice as the name suggests. The ice is carved in beautiful scenes and in different shapes to give it a ice museum kind of effect. Its very slippery and cold inside.
