Pikantus Lounge by Erdinger — Restaurant in Fieschertal

Recently visited and was very polite in asking for a hot cocoa. When I went to pay the card terminal asked me to choose which currency I wanted to pay in. No buttons had popped up on the screen yet so I thought maybe there was a button on the keypad (I’ve never seen this before when paying with card so I was new to it) so I asked the cashier which button I should press on the keypad since nothing was on the screen. At that point the options finally appeared on the screen but the cashier rudely scoffed and said “Well maybe if you took off your glasses you’d be able to see what to do” before pushing an option for me (not the option I wanted by the way but thanks for rudely selecting one for me). For context I was wearing sunglasses because I recently had eye surgery and they are prescription sunglasses I have to wear for a while—I can see and read just fine in them, the buttons were just slow to appear on the screen. I just smiled and kept quiet and stepped aside to wait for my hot cocoa. When a woman was done making it she asked the cashier whose it was and he pointed at me and said “her” with a rude tone and an eye roll. The cashier was white with brown hair. I really don’t know what warranted this attitude especially because there was no line behind me or rush to get people’s orders through and I am always very kind and polite to service workers because I am a cashier/barista myself! What should have been a fun beautiful day up on the mountain was soured by this rude sorry excuse for a man. The hot cocoa definitely was not worth the money OR the attitude. It looks like other reviewers have had the same unacceptable rude experiences as me with other employees. Management needs to fix their staff’s attitude because it is way too expensive of a trip to be treated that way. I hope that guy had the day he deserved and is nicer...

Came here for family trip just to enjoy the nice view, my sister and I went to order sandwich and one hot chocolate, we already mentioned so MANY times we want one SANDWICH and one HOT CHOCOLATE but this guy entered one sandwich and one shin ramyun???? So we corrected him in a nice and polite way, saying that we want HOT CHOCOLATE instead of SHIN RAMYUN, but he replied in an inappropriate and disrespectful way, you said you want one hot chocolate only, what’s with that face? We never even mention a single word about SHIN RAMYUN. Being racist just because we’re Asian? Overall you’re just a staff, you ordered or listen wrongly why is that our problem, we did not answer you in an impolite way either. We also correct u in a polite way. Mind your manners. If you’re a newbie, shouldn’t you be humble if you made a mistake? What for being so rude and arrogant? Treat people how you want to be treated. Respect people just like how you want people to respect you. Or else just change a new...

Buyers beware.we had just gotten off the train and My 85 year old mum was short of breathe and needed a breather. We ordered a cup of hot tea at Pikantus lounge. Chf 4.80 It was an 8 oz cup and a bag of Lipton green tea. I asked if can have a bigger cup. Maybe a 12 oz or a 16oz Firmly we were told That’s a cup of hot water for your tea sternly. No smiles. Not friendly . Not welcoming. Money faced. All business. We just arrived on a very expensive ticket to appreciate the view and history. An upgrade to another 4 oz of water wouldn’t break your bank Pikantus lounge. It’s the management fault at this point if robotic employees trained to nit picked and not compassionate or kind. We don’t even get a complimentary cup of hot water for lousy views !! Do not visit here! Go to Mammoth, Go to Aspen, Go anywhere where service is number one!! Boo…y ya ya blah blah gotta carry all that paper cups and hot water...
