I am writing to bring to your attention an incident that occurred during my visit to the pool today. While I was swimming, an older man deliberately reached under my one-piece swimsuit and grabbed my breast with his hand. I immediately stopped, shocked, while he continued swimming as if nothing had happened, without saying a word or offering any kind of apology. I left the pool, extremely upset.
After taking a few moments to calm down, I approached the lifeguard and explained the situation, though I was still quite shaken. He asked whether I believed the act was intentional. While I obviously cannot read the man’s mind, I do believe that reaching under someone’s swimsuit is not something that can happen accidentally. The lack of apology also suggests deliberate intent.
Unfortunately, the lifeguard took no further action beyond saying he was sorry. The man remained in the pool and was not approached or questioned. I later went to the reception desk to report the incident as well. However, since I am still learning German and was very emotional at the time, I wasn’t able to express myself clearly and left in tears.
Now that I’ve had some time to reflect, I strongly feel that the response from the pool staff was inadequate. Whether or not the man acted intentionally, the incident should have been taken more seriously. At the very least, the man should have been questioned to clarify the situation. I hope you will review how such cases are handled in the future to ensure a safe environment for all visitors.
Thank you for your time and understanding. I otherwise really enjoy this pool and usually I have a very good time there, so I am even more sorry that this...
Read moreRecently renovated outdoor swimming pool. It has three pools: One for swimmers, one for kids, and one for babies which has sun screens above it. The changing room area is relatively small considering size of the campus. There are only a few showers with no curtains/cabins. One can lock one's belongings, but one needs to bring one's own lock. Valuable items can be locked into a small cupboard using a token of 2CHF. With the local Kulturlegi, one will get a discount of 50% on the entry fee. Disappointing choice for vegans/vegetarians at the restaurant. OK, there is a salad buffet, but e.g. the French fries are fried in the same oil as the chicken nuggets and can therefore not be ordered by...
Read moreNice pools and lawn, very good kids area with fountains. Food is Ok, better than the traditional sausage and fries you'd get most places. Two things we found weird: ticketing system, where you don't have a physical ticket, the cashier just lets you in upon payment. Also you have to pay the entrance fee again if you leave for more than half an hour. WTH?.. And yeah, as mentioned in other reviews, small children are not allowed in the area around the sports pool, not even to pass through. Seems nonsensical to me and the staff is oddly insistent on...
