Beibin Park — Attraction in Hualien City

Nice park with a grassy field, skateboard park and a few beach volleyball courts. It's suitable for families. There is a beach, but it's not ideal for swimming. The south end of it gets deep very quickly. Occasionally there is a drowning because the entry/exit from the water can be difficult due to the waves crashing right on the shore (basically, I don't recommend swimming here). The north end has sand and is much more shallow, but the Meiluen River flows out there and the water is rather nasty. Pity. Perhaps one day they'll clean it up and it will become a wonderful...

A nice place to sit a while around 30-60 minutes.

You can play stones (which is brought from Taroko mountain by rivers) like LEGO.

Build up as high as you can.

Only typhoon will destroy it, if not, that means your building strong enough to against the nature!

After 2 or 3 years, you can come Hualien to check and see if your building still are there.

The park is currently undergoing construction as it will be know as Pacific Ocean Park also known as Beibin Park. Colourful park with a statue of Guan Yin - Goddess of Mercy. Along the rocky beach, the local are fishing in the Pacific Ocean whilst other laze around the park. Good for jogging...
