This is a must stop place for foodies who love street food and variety!
The way this night market is built is very well thought of in terms of recreational activities and large groups of visitors. The path was wide and spacious, which allows great open air ventilation. The night market also has recycling trash disposal areas (manned by staffs) qnd also with toilet stalls at the end of each stretch, and even a breast feeding room for mothers at the centre of the area.
Though each stretch of the night market sells faily similar items: fruit juice, sausages, stinky tofu, coffin bread etc. The live singing and resting areas make this an ideal spot for a fun, loving night life! Food prices here range...

Had dinner at the native food stall (with seating inside) next to the stall selling wooden bamboo rice. Friendly chef came to greet each table to make sure we were all satisfied. Recommend having the salt baked fish and lovers' tears (whatever it is). Portions were decent in size and food was flavourful. Highly recommend.
Bought some nougat from a stall that sold by weight. Seller is an auntie with amazing sales techniques. Do try before buying all the flavours, heck maybe this could be your meal!

Some of the highlights I had were the fried crab located at one of the entrances, the freshly grilled corn if you walk straight down from the entrance of the crab booth, and a fresh, all natural ingredient juice booth across from the corn booth. One of the local highlights of hualien is the 'exploding scallion pancakes' which are freshly fried and the egg yolks are parcooked/left raw and will 'explode' when you bite into it.
