A small museum with interesting displays of old railway gear and equipments. Buildings are very well renovated or preserved with the japanese theme from the old times. The miniature in the exhibition room shows what old Hualien train station & port and their surroundings looked like 40 years ago, however based on incorrect relative positions and distances. Free entrance. There were a couple old trains on display outside and a room is decorated in 50s styles. You can put on the train crew uniform to take pictures. Kinda fun!

The venue was also a traditional Japanese style architecture dates back to the 40s I believe.

A nice place to take the elder to kill an hour. close...
