The so called central station that shows wonderfully how well planned Kaohsiung City and the MRT are.
It is off center and barelly anyone takes the MRT in Kaohsiung compare to Taipei, and the explanation is simple, it's not convenient IF you're not a tourist. Formosa boulevard has so few people inside, that it really shows how much interest people have into taking the MRT.
The Kaohsiung public transports are varied, they have metro, busses, tram, which sound that it should be very convenient, but you would be wrong, the public transports in Kaohsiung are a big joke and by far the least convenient I saw in my entire life, even my small hometown, which is as big as SanMin District and has 3 time less inhabitants has a more convenient public transport system.
Places to park nearby? If you don't count the shopping malls which are very off center, then you just have very small parking lots which are barelly big enough for people to hang out in the area. That city is so badly planned, I really wonder how Kaohsiung Citizen did not already beheaded the major for signing for such stupid projects.
