The Center of Old Fongshan City History — Attraction in Kaohsiung

Went into this museum out of curiosity after noticing the old city gate, and it was a great experience. The guide, Mr Qiu was very knowledgeable and passionate about Kaohsiung history, and answered all my questions in great detail. He even went above and beyond and provided tips for my stay in Kaohsiung. I'm only sad I'm not staying longer. The museum itself is small but packs a punch. There is a full mini re-creation of the city walls that allows you to see what it would have looked like. There is also the use of AR to enhance the experience. This place is actually so damn amazing! We were traveling to Dragon and Tiger Temple and we stumble upon this Center of Old Fongshan City History Museum after going the bunker trail.

We were greeted by really nice guides and the man was especially good as he share taiwan rich culture.

I was in the area and decided to check it out because I was already walking along the old city walls and it was a good choice! Staff spoke English and they were helpful explaining how to use the AR tool. I have never been in a museum that utilized that, so it was really cool.
