Zuoying Yuandi Temple, experienced during a February trip to Taiwan, emerged as a cultural gem amidst the winter landscape. The temple's grandeur and intricate architecture were mesmerizing, reflecting a rich tapestry of Taiwanese heritage. The reverence and rituals within the temple walls evoked a sense of spirituality and tradition. Set against the backdrop of the season, the temple's serene ambiance offered a peaceful escape. Visiting Zuoying Yuandi Temple in February provided a unique glimpse into Taiwan's cultural essence, leaving an indelible impression on...

Yeah it looks so close from the HSR Zuoying station—from the map. While in fact it's a torture under the summer heat. If you come from this station, either you can take a bus or ubike outside the station area, would be much better. The ubike pool are quite plenty around here.

The statues along the bridge are all different if you notice them one by one, too bad I cannot understand the name of each. And interestingly, there are many vending machines, for charm, for fortune teller, etc, (and they make it like...

One of the best temples to visit in Liantan Road. Situated in the lake, visitors can get amazing views of the other surrounding temples and shrines in the area. Visitors can get wooden tablets where they can write their wishes down and tie them to the "wish" trees situated around the temple. Just make sure to "bless" them first with incense smoke on the altar. The (old) guy inside the temple will show you...

We love Taipei, but…. Have you ever visited Kaohsiung? There you can find a Confucius Temple (built in 1684), beautiful 🐲dragon and 🐯tiger pagodas (龍虎塔), and the Yuandi Temple (元帝廟) located along the Lotus Pond (蓮池潭) scenic area. Walk through the dragon’s throat and out of the tiger’s mouth for good fortune! You will also see lots of turtles swimming in the pond.🐢 ☀️The best time to visit is early morning or late afternoon to avoid the crowds and for cooler temperatures. 🚆Fastest way to get from Taipei to Kaohsiung is via HSR (high speed rail), a 2-hour train ride. 🙋🏻‍♀️Share about this place with your friends and save for your next trip to Taiwan! ————————— 📍No. 9, Liantan Rd, Zuoying District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan 813 813高雄市左營區蓮潭路9號
