Looks a bit like any Italian-style restaurant but with far higher prices and smaller portions. We ordered a shrimp, garlic and asparagus linguine and a smoked salmon fettuccine and none of them were outstanding or special. The pasta were slightly oversalted, but indeed cooked to al dente. Dishing wasn't especially eye-catching either.
The view and the location are obviously better than most of the downtown restaurants, but the 800 TWD for two single pasta dishes is still a bit pricey.
Staff could also adhere a bit to the "bilingual Taiwan by 2030", because the incomprehensible caveman gestures combined with the visibly astound "panic" (despite my efforts communicating in Chinese) caused by the presence of a foreigner at certain staff members do not really make a...
Read moreSo refreshing to find such a lovely restaurant in Tamsui! Great space, relaxing and cool interior, and a good place to enjoy the sunset from out on the balcony. We ordered a mixed salad, two appetizers and four pastas - I ordered 紅酒牛肉義大利麵 (pasta with beef cubes). The mixed salad is very fresh and taste great. My beef pasta was delicious too. What’s so special about it is they add a kick to it which is very rare in Italian food, but I like it very much, and all my guests loved their pasta too.
Finally, the price, compared to New York City, it’s very reasonable. I would...
