Great food and fun with family or friends. We are locals and we have visited a few times now. The food surprisingly good for a themed restaurant, and I actually prefer the pasta here compared to other restaurants in Tamsui. The staff were also quick to remember us and make us feel welcome. We have also noticed that they are always trying new things and they often change their layout and add new machines. I think my favorite layout was when the had the SNES/super Famicon consoles on the larger tables with a large selection of games to choose from (Bomberman, Goemon, Mario, Mario Cart).
Since it seems they are still experimenting, here are some ideas/suggestions: Bring back Goemon and Mario cart into rotation. Multiplayer retro games at the table would be fun. Add more signage and advertisements in Fabmall (it is easy to miss if you don’t know it is there) Have regular events and themed days. Have a schedule for events and days and post it in the restaurant and online Hold a video game tournament Have a cosplay competition, day, event or discount. Add more incentives or reminders to connect/post on social media Live music Open mic night, video game themed poetry Talks: Invite Youtubers, podcasters, book publishers, or bloggers- maybe not regularly but could help on weekdays and to raise awareness of the restaurant. Perhaps on the history of video games You could even play videos on the projector on topics like classic video games or the history of video games or what makes a certain retro game great. Use the projector area for talks in general Make more use of the projector Prizes for getting a Highscore Merchandise N64 with Goldeneye or other fun multiplayer games. I hear a lot of music in the store from games like Chronotrigger, Persona and Zelda, it would be cool to see those titles too. A shelf with games to choose from?
Really great place! I’d love to see it continue to grow and stay around at least long enough for those Switches to become...
Read moreI really enjoyed my first experience here. Brand new place, found on the 3rd floor of FabMall. I think it'll say 3rd Floor Lobby. All the machines were set to free play which is awesome and there's an amazing view of the river. I tried the Sea Bass Garlic Butter dish with a side of curly fries. It was delicious! Just beware the green sauce that goes on the fries are spicy! Loved the garlic butter but I love just about anything with tons of garlic. My husband and toddler enjoyed the space as well. Tons of new and old school games. And my toddler got to experience his first time in an arcade setting. I'm looking forward to coming back to try the other dishes and...
Read moreIt’s a fun arcade game bar. It got all the classic consoles and arcade machines. I am impressed most of the machine still in good working condition. It even got latest switch party games, so you can ply with your friends. The downside is the price is expensive, if you are just here for food. The cocktail “poke ball” is ok. Overall I enjoy my time here....
