Located next to the university campus, one can see where the business comes from. This place is huge! Though the night market itself runs from north to south with a SW bend along one road for only about three to four blocks, the extended area is lively and full of additional restaurants, street vendors, gaming and other clothing or novelty shops. Once taking all this into account, Fengcchia is a two dimensional area that rivals Shilin or Ximending markets in Taipei in acreage.

There are also at least, two indoor malls which house additional shops, vendors and restaurants. If I were to include the extended streets and area, then we can easily quadruple the length of this market beyond the mapped area, with two additional blocks to the south of Fuxing Street and four to the north, past the main university gate, running outside the university walls.

In addition, there is a parallel street, running to the immediate west, Fengjia Road, which is also lined with more vendors shops and restaurants, but it doesn't stop there. Most of the streets that intersect and run between these two streets have more eateries, which in effect, again doubles the search area as one scavenges for that next food item. You never know, it could be just around the next corner.

The main water closet is located in the second floor of the mall, located at the midpoint of the official night...

Great place to visit with a wide variety of Taiwan snacks to try and enjoy the night market atmosphere.

We stayed at the near by La Vida hotel (great place btw) and walked over to the night market all 3 nights to try different food.

The night market remains open till late night. It was a a bustling hub of activity at 11pm at night.

Wr started from the south entrance and progressively made our way towards the North. The mid point is where Fengchia university was located. There were another 2 streets to explore beyond the main one (more limited) shopping and food available.

Personal must tries: Beef cubes There are a few stores but the one in the middle tasted better.

Sweet potato balls We liked the one closest to Fengchia University. Costs around 4NTD per ball, it’s crisp on the outside but really fluffy inside. I could easily eat 15 myself.

bbq corn I liked the one near the south entrance. It’s actually opposite the road. It’s the sticky type and you can actually choose if you wanted it more “q” or not.

Taiwan sausage There is a very popular stall at the middle section in front of the university. (Near cosmed). This is the classic 大肠包小肠. 2 types of sausages, 1 wrapped in the other.

Other special mentions will include the duck noodles, pancake and takopachi.

Not really into shopping but there were the usual souvenirs shops as well as a...

Fengjia Night Market 逢甲觀光夜市😋👍

Fengjia Tourist Night Market (also known as Wenhua Road Night Market) is a well-known large-scale commercial night market located around Fengjia University in Xitun District, Taichung City, Taiwan. Fengjia Night Market, located next to Fengjia University, is the best night market to visit in Central Taiwan. It includes daily necessities, three C products, various delicious snacks, matching clothes, good shopping and delicious food. If you drive there, you can park at Fuxing Road Stop at Fuxing, and you can walk to the entrance of the night market in 3 minutes. The "Devil Chicken Chop" at Booth D9 at No.71 Wenhua Road is highly recommended. ), there are quite a lot of fans of Minglun egg, the queue is long, the Japanese boat octopus dumplings are also a must-eat at the Fengjia night market, there are other lazy shrimp, crispy stinky tofu, ancient rice ice cream, It is a must-taste!

Most shops start around 5pm to late at night. They are very lively. Food, clothes, accessories and even daily necessities can be bought in the Fengjia Night Market business district. They are delicious and fun. The whole Taiwan is the best and most creative. All the food in Taichung originated from Taichung. It is the right thing to come to Fengjia. It will give you an unprecedented night...

A Must-Visit Foodie Paradise in Taichung! Fengchia Night Market is easily one of the liveliest and most diverse night markets I’ve been to in Taiwan. The food options are endless — from classic Taiwanese street food like stinky tofu, flame-torched beef cubes, and bubble tea, to unique finds like cheese-stuffed scallops and mochi donuts. Every stall has something tempting. The atmosphere is energetic but not overwhelming. It’s well-organized compared to other night markets, and prices are reasonable. I also appreciated the variety — aside from food, there are clothes, accessories, and fun little games. Tip: Come hungry and bring cash! It gets crowded, especially on weekends, so go early if you want to avoid long lines. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Taichung — whether you’re a foodie, a casual tourist, or just want to experience Taiwan’s vibrant night market culture.

First, I went on a Saturday evening, and of course, there were so many people that it was hard to move. First, I ordered grilled scallops. They were neither particularly tasty nor bad, just average and ordinary. Next, I ordered clam soup, which the portion was too small. It was a waste of money. The soup smelled awful. It was the worst food I've ever had. Next, I ordered oysters and fried egg takoyaki. The food preparation was incredibly filthy. The grill was painted black and it seemed like they hadn't cleaned it. The chefs were also incredibly inexperienced. It took all day. It was the worst food I've ever had. The sweet potato fries, which I really wanted, were in such a long line that I couldn't wait. I recommend anyone who's sensitive to hygiene, taste, or smell to stay away. I also wouldn't go back.

This is such a well-rounded night market ,it has everything from food stalls, hole in the wall restaurants to clothing/ shoe shops, plus a few carnival and claw machine arcades. I’d recommend going earlier; we arrived around 6 p.m. and didn’t have enough time to see it all. Although it’s busy, the pathway is wider than most, making it easier to move around somewhat lol. There’s even a garbage bag near the front of the market (a rare find, haha). The washroom is located in a nearby plaza — just follow the signs downstairs — but do bring your own tissue paper. I also suggest exploring the area around the night market, as there are plenty of shops and restaurants. We took the HSR to Taichung Station and then an Uber, which took about 25 minutes. Don’t forget to bring cash!
