Considered a rather secret hiking spot amongst locals, you get excellent views of Taipei 101 without the crowds. It is a great alternative to the night views similar to those from the Elephant Mountain - although it won't be the same since Fuzhoushan is farther from Xinyi District and Taipei 101. The hike itself is easy (100m above sea level) but still allows you to have some good exercise with lush green forests. There are multiple entrances to the park. One I recommend is through Fuyang Eco Park, which is another beautiful conservation area with trails leading up to Fuzhoushan. However, some of the paths and signs could be maintained better.

There are three pavilions (涼亭) or observation areas on the mountain, numbered 1, 2 and 3, with 2nd and 3rd being the highest and having the best views. Fuzhoushan is an excellent spot to escape the city - right in the middle...

Beautiful , central place that is never very crowded and has tons of wildlife, especially flying squirrels at night. The best ways to reach it are the brown line MRT or one of the buses, though biking is also very doable.

There are 4 distinct "zones of the park"- a paved, pedestrian-heavy hill with some of the best views of Taipei in the city that also isn't crowded (but is quite steep). Fuyang echo park, one of the only flat natural areas in Taipei, and easy to see wildlife, also close to a small animal zoo/museum that does tours. The mountain itself, beautiful and natural and full of animals, yet quite small and easy to hike completely in an hour or so. A very large graveyard,...

A great place to hike and enjoy scenic views of downtown Taipei. Most signs are bilingual and are easy to follow. Bring drinking water as there are no water fountains in the park. There is one restroom but I’ve never seen it stocked with paper towels or soap. It is possible to visit at night as parts of the park are well-lit but bring insect repellent or cover yourself sufficiently.

I’ve never seen park rangers working here. In case you need help, there is a good chance you’ll run into other hikers since the park is well-visited, especially during the day. It’s also a good idea to record the phone number indicated in...

There are both long (if you start from the the eco park entrance) and Short trails (if you go directly to just the end of park) lots of jungle looking plants. Nice and shaded trails. Multiple entrances :) Only downside is the view of 101 is very distant and lots of trees obstruct the view. However it is worth the trade off of a quiet, peaceful hike if that is what you are looking for. Way better than elephant mountain!!
