This collosal complex is the worst station I've ever seen, having been to many cities of comparable development level. It's supposed to integrate the functionalities of metro, high speed rail, airport express, commuter train, coach and taxi in the center of Taipei City, with added shopping facilities on site or nearby. But it is a total mess. Lack of directions. Confusing signage. Poorly demarcated zoning. Intermingled areas of different functionalities by overlapping layers and at times bizarre turns and atriums or whatnots. You'll be lucky not to get lost and miss your train if not your flight, (even if you're a long-time resident of Taipei). That so many people are either lost or finding their ways explain why it's always congested and not clearing passenger traffic quick enough.
In short, its design and administration is a disgrace to the City and the country that's advanced in many other aspects. I'm surprised to see its high scoring. How come people have so low expectations on urban design and...
Read moreGreat place has just about everything... In case you have time, you can always place your personal belongings into one of their storage containers. It is fairly inexpensive for a whole day, if needed.
Good to Know: Take a picture of your ticket; which contains your pass-code. Also, take a picture of the area that your container is in.
The reason I say both is that the paper can get lost; so have it on your phone... Some actually don't even print; so you set password and you better not forget locker number and password.
Lastly, and from experience...... I completely forgot where my container was... This place is like a HUGE MAZE! You will have plenty to do just staying in the area for sure, but be best to take a few snap shots and remember a few indicators so you can safely and swiftly locate your luggage container.
Note.. You can always call the number on any of the lockers; as well. As long as you remember the locker number..
Great adventure to say...

When I asked about an elevator, a staff member decided to quickly answer me in Chinese and push me away. Another staff member told her not to push me, but it was unreal how impatient she was.
Bad design and planning has led to this place being difficult to navigate and crowded. It's almost impossible to find other people here as the maps aren't very clear and don't matchup with the information posted in the areas where you...
