Read moreThe Pad Thai was pretty greasy, which is to be expected, but the plate had a huge pile of salt on it. Even though I tried to avoid the salt, it inevitably got mixed up with the noodles. But that wasn't the worst part. The worst part was that when I needed water to wash down all that salt I'd accidentally eaten, the waiter wouldn't give me a glass of water, insisting that I buy something instead. Although it isn't required by law, most places in Taiwan will give you a glass of water if you ask for it. This place literally left a bad taste in my mouth.
(After posting this I see some other reviews here complaining about salty food and lack of water as well, so it seems that we weren't the only ones. There are also reviews saying that other Thai restaurants in Taiwan won't give you free water - this is simply not true. Moreover, the restaurant replies that this is their policy elsewhere. Read moreLocation is not ideal for people who who travel from the city to dine here. For others who intend to go - it's inside the Taipei Main Station. 2nd Floor. We ordered - Deep-fried Combo set, Pad Thai noodles, Thai Milk Tea, Spicy Papaya salad, Lemongrass Tea. Pad Thai noodles looked so good but the taste was below average. The dish was full of onions to say the least. Deep-fried Shrimp cakes were super super oily. 🤢 Thai Milk Tea - I really wanted my milk tea in that cute pot it was served in as seen online but they gave me this glass and said that previous glass was too small or something so they discontinued it. Weird. But taste was okay. Deep-fried Pork rings were probably the best dish out of all the order which was a part of the deep-fried platter. You can get a free drink between 2 choices - Crystal Lemongrass tea OR Ruby Roselle tea. Now you know why it has 5 star reviews. 😉 Overall only service and decor was good. Lovely seating. Food is served very quickly so that was good too. I don't recommend this restaurant though. You can visit just once, nothing worth...
