Track 14/35! So this is getting really difficult now as I've done all the tracks within 2 hours of myself (other than Stoke and Manchester Trafford which I have booked soon). It's a 438 mile round trip for Cardiff but I managed to work around collecting some car parts from Hereford and stopped in Cardiff overnight to make things easier. This was a 342 event which with the Elite membership worked out at £26.25, otherwise known as an absolute bargain for 45 minutes karting! They did however run the event differently, they split it into 2 sessions instead of 3x15 minutes it was a 20 and 25 minute session. Find the footage on YouTube. Cardiff is another location using Sodi karts (Bradford do too) rather than the Biz karts. I find the Sodi karts less responsive, the pedals are unpleasant to use and the seats can only be adjusted when you're not in the kart. My kart in the second session felt more responsive but I'm not sure I had the seat in a good position whereas with the Biz karts I know to use the second to last seating position. On the first session I managed 35.799s and on the second session 35.513s. My fastest time shows as position 389 on the leaderboards (as of 14/09/21) although I don't trust them as the complete top 10 times are showing as 5 seconds a lap. A lot of the elite lightweight times are 33 seconds so I'm skeptical that 389 is an accurate position on the leaderboards at this track. I'm a lot more used to the slippy surfaces so complain a lot less than I used to but make no mistake the lower level at Cardiff is slippy, it didn't feel so slippy at the bottom of the down ramp as it did at the far end with the right into a long straight then right again you had to force yourself to stay on the accelerator else the front end of the kart would want to take you into the barriers! Similar to Nottingham a really frustrating surface to master in my opinion. In some places it felt like the track wasn't so good for 16 karts, if this were a session full of complete beginners I think it would've been a constant pileup in places. Fortunately there were some good karters on track and it was an uneventful session compared to some of my recent experiences with big crashes! I would definitely recommend the track, staff were incredibly helpful and great to talk to but I do hope they update the karts at Cardiff.

The most fun we've had as a whole family in ages. From start to finish the day was perfect. Easy to book online, quick to get us signed up and booked in on arrival, then a quick debrief to cover the H&S (long enough to feel safe, not too long so we got bored or felt it was the main emphasis of the experience). Staff were friendly, helpful and added to the fun, despite clearly being very busy, especially Casey, and the Shark who I raced against - I got a yellow flag for speeding!! haha. The 15min races got the adrenaline rushing, we enjoyed a quick cooling drink in our break then couldnt wait to get back on the track. Didnt realise I was such a petrol head, or that my husband was so competitive, and I havent seen my teenage kids laugh so much. Will definitely be back...next week if the kids get their own way!

This is a great track over two floors, quite fast in places and quite slippy in others which was fun! Had one of the 2x 15 minute sessions which were selected by two other sessions in between so about 40 minutes between. It’s quite well organised and has good quality changing rooms and bar area that does snacks etc. Free lockers to put your phone etc in while facing. Took my 15 year old daughter and had a great time racing with others of all allowed age ranges (12 upwards I think). My only gripe was we had to stop quite a bit while they rescued people that had spun and got stuck which happened every couple of laps and took a while as only one person on each level running around trying to sort it which cuts into race time. Would still definitely recommend it, great family or work event destination.

Went for my son's 18th birthday and though I didn't race myself the afternoon was amazing. The staff were really friendly, helpful and professional. I didn't pay for the day as it was a Sky VIP experience but if I had to it was pretty reasonable, even better if your a member and benefit from discounted rates. You can use your own kit which is available to buy from the venue. Overall a great afternoon.

My boy and I went here for his 15th birthday. We went on a Sunday night and booked the offer 3 for 2. We were on track with maybe around 10 others, so we had 3 x 15-minute races. Live timing is done so you can check all your times on the screens, but they are also sent to your email or app if you sign up. Very good experience, I wouldn't recommend if you have bad wrists or suffer with any spinal issues due to the possible impacts, and the turns can be tight and are hard on the left wrist personally.

The venue was well organised, site team were friendly, helpful and great fun. So.e of the other groups racing with us were too competitive and ignored the safety rules but otherwise we had a fantastic time and won't forget in a hurry.
