The moment I drove into this park I was in love with it. Big and spacious, beautiful with greenery everywhere and some big ponds. Surprisingly uncrowded.

Just a note, the posted hours on google maps are incorrect. The correct hours are 5am to 8pm. After that the gates will be locked. So come during the daytime.

I love this park and part of me hesitates to write this review since perhaps I don't want it to become more popular. ;) but it deserves it.

Oh yes, if you are easily intimidated by "stray" dogs, do not come here. A motley pack of different-coloured dogs lives in this park, and will likely run past you up to some hijinks once on your visit.

I understand why some reviewers may not like them, but the existence of stray dogs is just a reality in places like India or Thailand. Not really "stray" though since they are permanent residents of this big park!

The Thai gardeners and groundskeepers seem to regard them with humour. But if you think they might scare you, be warned, it might make you uncomfortable. To be honest they were not my favourite part of the visit. I would've preferred they weren't there. But...

Liked this park a lot because I lived next door. It was my running playground, here is a 1 km loop, where I was almost alone in the early morning. More people enjoying the cool breeze on the late afternoon : mainly families and joggers.

The park is not the nicest in Thailand, but if you are looking for a place to run / walk away from the traffic, here is a good place to go.

However, dozens of dogs are staying there. Apparently they didn't read the signs on the entrance, where it's clearly written that the place is forbidden to them. Ha ha ha.

Dogs don't care of runners, they are just living there lives. I ran around 10 times here and never...

Rama IX Lanna Park is a fantastic place to escape the city's hustle. It's a very peaceful and uncrowded park, making it the perfect spot to unwind and relax. You can enjoy a leisurely walk or go for a jog along the paths that wind through the greenery and around the ponds.

A great bonus is the area just behind the park, where you'll find a big lake and The Highland People Discovery Museum. It's a nice little addition to your visit if you want to explore something more after your time in the park.

Overall, it's a great choice for anyone looking for a tranquil and scenic place to spend some...
