Khao Aun - Northern Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Our private driver recommended us this restaurant and it was one of the best meals we’ve had in Chiang Mai. We originally were going to go to the Michelin star restaurant but we were glad we listened to our driver.

When we arrived on December 3rd for dinner we had the entire restaurant to ourselves practically. The owner, a sweet lady, made excellent recommendations for us.

We had 5 different dishes, plus sesame sticky rice, 2 drinks and 2 desserts all for only 600b. We liked that the dishes were on the smaller portion so that we could try as many dishes as we could as she had an extensive menu. Dishes were not too spicy and were very flavorful. This authentic Norther cuisine is a must for those seeking freshly cook meal. Each dish is cooked by the owner when ordered. Few tables at the restaurant but hungry water must be a bit patient for dishes ordered. I recommend you guys order some appetizers while waiting for main sharing mouthwatering dishes.
