We were here in August. Beach is peaceful and quiet. Sandy and pleasant. Never seen many people. Water was wavy most of the time and not for the fainthearted. Beware the current. It can easily drag you out. My 11-year-old daughter is a good swimmer and she loved the waves but was totally exhausted after 15 min in the water and we ended up approx. 50m from where we entered the water. The is a little beach restaurant / bar “Sand & Sea” just where the hotel is. Not posh but friendly staff. Sun loungers and parasols to hire for little money. Coctails were lovely. Sunbeds are 600-800Baht, far above of the prices on the beach in the north.. Less than 20km north you are mostly alone on a beach.
