Lamai Beach is a stunning and expansive stretch of coastline, ranking as Samui's second-largest beach. It boasts great surf and breathtaking sunrises over its light golden sands. The beach is lined with vibrant and colourful bars and restaurants, offering a lively atmosphere. Although the sea can be a bit choppy at times, it's still a lovely place to swim. I personally prefer the far end towards the Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks, where you'll find a fantastic bar perched on top of a boulder. The worst thing is that the locals throw used oils off the beaches and into the sea. You're walking to the beach when suddenly your leg is covered with tar and you can't wash it off with anything. Literally a 25 min walk from Crystal beach. Taxi drivers didn’t seem to want to bring us here and we had to cut passed a private property sign to get access.
