A great and fun place to visit either in the daytime - make it a very late afternoon or nothing will be open or for the best experience then go at night around 9pm.
Plenty of space to park a scooter or bike.
Some great food stalls including my favourite DD BBQ - just on the RH side as you enter from the street.
Some good tourist stalls, don't be afraid to haggle, the first price is never the last price!
At the end there's a live music bar - "Jammins Beach Bar." But its not on a beach!
It was fun until the server having served us 2 rounds of drinks started to ask for money for the band.....and the fact that the toilet is a pay to use toilet even tough you have bought drinks. So make sure you have plenty of 5 THB coins if you have a weak bladder.
The cocktails were good but served in plastic cups. The band was pretty miserable but that's part of the fun.

Read moreSmall night market on the main tourist road in Lamai. Not cheap nor especially good food in my opinion but it’s an easy solution if you just wanna have some food and don’t really care about Thai food authenticity. Have eaten here several times throughout the years but I must admit I was never impressed. For me this is a typical tourist marked made ONLY to feed uninformed tourists. You can get way better and cheaper food than here in my opinion. Would I recommend to visit this ? Of course I would especially if you are a first timer in Samui. Just know that there’s much better options nearby if you look around or follow my other reviews. As per July 2024 I could see that they are expanding the market quite a lot but they weren’t finished yet. Let’s see what’s happens. By the way at this market you can also buy different kind of souvenirs just way too overpriced...
Read moreGood options for eating like bbq, pizza, churros, mango sticky rice, shakes and some restaurants, but on the restaurant side they’re quite pushy inviting you to eat at their place, I wasn’t bothered but my husband was and this energy made the night market a lot less nice for him so the experience can be very subjective.
We enjoyed the chicken bbq and a passion fruit shake, brilliant though the bbq was a bit too spicy even for him (he has a higher tolerance than me), we also had churros, they were fine but nothing crazy, the milk chocolate dip was better than the caramel option.
We will probably visit again and get a pizza, they look good and it’s the best price (169 bahts) I’ve seen in Lamai (and Lanta), it looks big...
