Was very excited to see this beautiful beach upon checking in to my hotel today just a short 150 meter walk. Unfortunately the whole stretch of beach was just completely littered with trash that has washed up from wherever???...straws, flip flops, plates, cups you name it, one could of filled up 100 bags of this trash, obviously Koh Lanta the municipality does absolutely nothing to ensure any type of cleanliness of this beach.....I am here for 10 more days SMH?????????????????????...side note is YES I know this is off season in Thailand BUT everywhere that I have been here for the last 30 days has still been lively, Bangkok, Ao Nang, Krabi Town and Railay Beach BUT so far from what I have seen from Koh Lanta reminds me of being on Isla Mujeres in Mexico during Covid???...It's like a ghost town here and I am supposedly located in one of the busier parts.....more than half the businesses are closed down now...prices are cheap yes BUT if you are looking to vacay here in Thailand I definitely recommend...

Great beach to relax and enjoy a few quiet days. It's also a great base for day trips (specially to Ko Rok and the 4 islands south east as well as Phi Phi to the north west), as the boats leave from the south end of Phra Ae. The water is great and the beach is long enough to accommodate everyone without getting cramped. Even in high season there is lots of space available to enjoy the sand and the water by yourself. I'm only taking one star because we crossed a couple of jellyfish during our stay, so you can't have the ultimate relax in the water due to being conscious of the danger they pose while having a swim. The ones we saw were reddish bells and aren't deadly (those are the blue box ones), but they sting nonetheless. Last but not least, it's a beautiful beach to enjoy sunsets and...
