The Long Beach is a very beautiful long stretch of beach on Koh Lanta, which is quite busy in the northern part and where many hotels and restaurants are located and the further south you go, the quieter it becomes with some private villas and smaller sections without direct buildings. Both corners have their charm. You can't really swim in the very south because of the many stones, but you can swim after about 300 metres from the south. Re-visited in June 2022 and although still thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, it was sad to see most of the restaurants and bars shut (not sure if this is always the case in low season or whether it is Covid induced). As a result the beach does get quite full of rubbish, particularly toward the northern end. On the positive side, we did spot sea eagles and many, many hermit crabs along the beach which was nice.
