Sandbar By The Sea - Dongtan Beach/Jomtien — Restaurant in Pattaya City

Had very bad experience about staffs afternoon shift. Me and my family walked pass the restaurant looks nice so we walk to restaurant on 29 June 2022 at 20.45 hrs. No staffs greeting or welcome us, we seated then staff looks so unhappy to see customers. So we ordered drinks then 21:15 staff came to asked us to pay because cashier has to close shift then ok I asked what time restaurant closes she said 22:00 so we ordered 1 more drinks then we paid. Staffs reaction very unpleasant they starting to close moving tables in shop turned off light while it still 21:30 then a few staffs ready to finished work across the street and sitting on spot opposite the restaurant playing phone another just walk to her motorbike to home for sure. We still sitting in the dark with last full drink and have to hurry because looks like all staffs wanted to kick us out. Unlucky for the owners that restaurant cause the place is nice and relaxing but you got bad manpowers with bad service. Maybe can suggest to staffs if they not happy to work then just quit and sleep at home. We having many friends from Europe will visit us in pattaya so I will never even bring them to this restaurant. Maybe manager or owner should check cctv sometime otherwise your restaurant will full with customers if you have nice...

I made a plan to eat at this place based on the reviews. I ordered a Caesar Salad with grilled chicken. The menu has a combination of bar food plus local cuisine. The Caesar wasn’t available but I was asked if I would take the garden salad with grilled chicken listed on the menu instead. The chicken on the salad was definitely not grilled. It was roasted and this looked like it occurred on a different day. It did not have the texture and moisture of a same day roasted chicken. The seasoning on the meat was a bit salty, too. The portion was a good size, however. When the bill came, I was charged for the Caesar, which was only a mere 20 baht higher but the waitress insisted it was the same just different lettuce, even though on the menu, it clearly had the different price. The attitude didn’t sit well with me. On principle, I would have let this go had there been a recognition of such. Small details but they add up. Situated next door to bb house hotel on the jometien beach.Lovely friendly staff who genuinely smile every time you eat there. I have eaten there many times,breakfasts and evening meals. Nice relaxed breakfast service, no rushing you and leaving you alone to wake up at your pace. The English breakfast is presented in an unique way but very tasty. When you order off the breakfast menu included is unlimited coffee,tea & toast. I enjoyed bothe the english breakfast and eggs Benedict many times. For eating at night I would recommend you book for the busy times. Some night's there is a live band. It wasn't for me but other people enjoyed it. The staff work all day and into the night. They are very friendly and helpful please bear this in mind as they work long hours and I observed too many tourist of various nationalities being quite rude to them.
