Not Recommended for Tourists or Foreign Residents
I do not recommend this AIS store (or company) at all for tourists visiting Thailand or for foreign residents, for the following reasons:
Poor Customer Service: The staff were not welcoming. I was greeted by a receptionist with an unfriendly and unhappy attitude. He took my phone without explaining why, and started going through it. When I stood closer to see what he was doing, I noticed he was checking my regular SMS messages — apparently looking for promotional messages from AIS. I felt this was a serious invasion of privacy.
Unclear and Unfair Pricing: Initially, I had a mobile package that cost 250 THB per month. Suddenly, the package was canceled. When I visited the store to ask about it, the staff member told me that no packages were currently available. He said that if I wanted a similar plan, I would now have to pay 1,000 THB per month — four times the original price. When I asked if there were any other available options or packages, he simply replied “No,” in a very dismissive and unfriendly manner. He then told me to visit the AIS branch in Terminal Pattaya if I wanted help.
Lack of Respectful Communication: I asked to speak with a manager. The staff outside told me, "Manager is not available," in a disrespectful and dismissive tone.
If you're looking for an easier and more affordable way to get a SIM card with a data package — like many local Thai residents do — I recommend ordering a SIM through Shopee Thailand. There you can find plans starting from just 100 THB per month, with no need to visit a store or deal with unfriendly service.
In short: I don’t recommend visiting this store or wasting...

I recently visited Vietnam and lost my AIS SIM card while I was there.
AIS and Pattaya Police Station made this the best customer experience from cellular providers and public service by helping me through this efficient process.
BRING YOUR ORIGINAL PASSPORT. GO TO THE POLICE STATION AND GET A LOST SIM CARD REPORT. (Helps to have a Thai friend with you, unless you speak Thai) -Provide PH#, cellular provider, and sign the report. GO TO AIS IN CENTRAL FESTIVAL WITH: -Original Passport -Police Report ASK TO CONVERT TO ESIM. -AIS will confirm that this PH# is registered to you. So physical presence is required. DRINK A FREE FRESH CUP OF GORMETT COFFEE. ALL DONE.
Total time with police (15min), and AIS (15min) was 30mins total.
Thank you AIS and...
Read moreFirst off I like ais, normally they can solve problems in no time, but nit su much at this branch. I was waiting for about 30 minutes, with people which weren't in the shop before, all of the sudden are in front of line ( don't know how that works). When it was my turn, I asked them to check the Internet connection to a German server, since I need a good connection for my job. By the way I have ais fiber and my phone contract is with ais too. Needles to say they weren't able to do a speed test and show me the results. Kind of a joke when you want to keep your...
