Ari — Attraction in Phaya Thai Subdistrict

This is not a review about the BTS station but since there was nowhere to really review the neighbourhood, this is as good a place as any to do so.

Right … after falling prey to "influencers" on YouTube, we feel the need to send out a bit of a "warning" to non-IGmmers. Ari is not exactly for the regular / average tourist. If you are not female, or if are but not dressed in a flowing chiffon-ish pink, yellow or white dress; don't feel the urge to pose with cardboard cut-outs of K-Pop "stars"; or have little desire to sit in cafes / restaurants that charge more than what you'd expect to pay elsewhere; then be warned that you are likely to be disappointed at the hype.
