Awful view at the beach. THESE ARE NOT HAPPY ELEPHANTS. No one in their right mind should enjoy this. I've seen the elephants beaten so bad because he didn't want to go swim with tourists that day. So please know - the elephants don't "come" to swim here, they are forced to. If you look closely you see the Mahout is always right behind them with the elephant pick (sharp hook that goes deep in their flesh). They have no choice but to swim with tourists, otherwise they are tortured. Do not support them by taking pictures or even riding them. Get informed please. Elephants are "broken" as babys (chained, denied food, beaten, separated from mom) so they learn that they have no power over humans. Only with this elephants can be used for tourism. DO...

At the beach you’ll find elephants trainers ‘washing’ their elephants, and tourist can sit on them, take photos and bath with them. The elephants even are forced to do tricks, like sitting with you for a photo or falling in the water.
THIS IS ANIMAL ABUSE.
Apparently you have to repeat this to people many many times. If you like elephants, DO NOT CONTRIBUTE OR PAY FOR THIS.
These animals did not learn to pose with you by nature. They should be IN nature. Please use your common sense. The trainers don’t have these sticks with them for fun. Educate yourself. After they leave the beach, they are chained. For the rest of there lives. They are not your...

Be careful of rocks (better to enter in the middle of the beach) but it was clear enough when we visited to see the rocks and avoid them when walking in the water. There are cute baby elephants that you can play with in the sea and take pictures with (for a few). Good amount of beach restaurant/bars to sit in - which are part of resorts. The nice thing about this beach area is that the main road behind the beach is easily accessible on foot, for a small beach village vibe, and more restaurants a walking street market , and bars. The sea itself was semi-...
