Wat Nakaram — Attraction in Wichit

A beautiful place in Phuket Town, on the territory of which are: unique buildings, statues, figurines, tombs and large, sacred trees, on which, according to legend, spirits live!

On the territory of the temple there is a large ubosot (the main building for monks in Buddhism), which is traditionally guarded by nagas.

At the entrance to the room, on both sides, shimmering gold in the sun, are statues of Buddha.

Inside this fascinating building you can see statues: white Buddha and revered monks.

วัดนาคาเป็นวัดราษฏร์ ย้อนหลังปี 2519 รอบๆบริเวณวัด ส่วนใหญ่เป็นทุ่งหญ้า สุดลูกหูลูกตา ไปบรรจบเขตเมือง เพราะพื้นที่ส่วนใหญ่เป็นเหมืองที่ขุดแร่ดีบุคหมดแล้ว เจ้าของสัมประทานกลบดินถมขุมเหมือง แล้วบางส่วนก็ยกที่ดินถวายวัดก็ไม่มากนักประมาณ 10 ไร่ แล้วทางวัดซื้อที่ดินต่อเติมจากชาวบ้านด้านหลังวัดไปอีกประมาณ5 ไร่

เมื่ออาจารย์บุญศรี ฯมาภายหลังเป็นพระครู ฯ เป็นพระที่เดินธุดงค์ผ่านมา ปักกลดพักที่นี้ ต่อมาได้เป็นสมภารเจ้าวัดจนถึง ประมาณ พ.ศ.2530 แล้วก็มรณภาพ

วัดที่ไม่เคยมีถาวรวัตถุ กลับกลายมีถาวรวัตถุมากมาย ครบชนิดที่ว่าเป็นวัดตัวอย่างได้ ก็ในสมัยอาจารย์บุญศรี ซึ่งมากมายไปด้วยผู้คนที่ศรัทธาทำบุญไม่ขาดสาย ทั้งนี้ก็วัดตั้งอยู่เหมาะกับภูมิประเทศแล้วใกล้เขตเมือง ช่วงห่างจากวัดอื่น การทำบุญสุนทานง่ายต่อชาวบ้านไม่ว่าคหบดีหรือชาวบ้านใกล้เคียง

ในสมัยนี้ก็มีพระสงฆ์องค์เจ้าตามปกติ การทำบุญ ทำทาน คนเข้าวัดก็หาหลดหย่อนไม่

แต่ที่แน่ๆ และวัดอื่นจะมีหรือไม่มี นั้นคือ เมื่อถึงวันพระ หรือวันสำคัญ คนมาวัดถวายอาหารพร้อมถุงแกงที่ซื้อหรือนำพา โดยไม่ต้องเกละถุง

" ใช่ สะดวก แมลงวัน ฝุ่น ไม่มี สอาด" พระจะเป็นผู้เลือกอาหารถุงเอง ส่วนที่เหลือแจกจ่ายสงเคราะห์ญาติโยมต่อไป ไม่ต้องเป็นภาระภาชนะที่จะใส่อีก อย่างนี้...
