The best hotel I’ve stayed in during my trip to Thailand!

Where to begin! The staff were so so so friendly, they immediately took our bags upon arrival, and always greeted me and my boyfriend in the hallways with a smile :) one tourist was even rude to one of the bar staff (to no fault of his own) and he handled it with such kindness and grace, and even apologised when her disturbance caused my drink order to take a couple minutes longer. He told me about the history of Thai tea, the drink I had ordered, and even said he would make it like LISA from Blackpink for me if I ordered it again. He made sure the drink was to my liking after the other tourist’s displeasure, which of course it was delicious!

The rooms were very clean and were tidied for free everyday without fail. Water bottles and toiletries are restocked daily, and the housekeeping kindly agreed to come back later if we weren’t ready for them yet.

The hotel’s old Hollywood theme was such a treat for me and my boyfriend, as we’re massive film fans! There is lots of comfortable seating in the lobby, and upon check-in, the staff fortunately spoke fantastic English, and even allowed us to pay our deposit in another currency when we didn’t have any baht on us.

As for the food, the meals at the bar are delicious and so affordable, we ate here everyday for lunch! We had breakfast a couple days, which provides a nice variety of Asian dishes, fruit, as well as cereals and toast. If you hadn’t booked breakfast in advance like us, you can pay on site, and they even let you eat your food first before charging you :)

The pool was a great size and was a lovely temperature, and there were usually enough sun beds for everyone, as well as outdoor seating for food.

The worst hotel ever bad customer service the don’t corporate or help in anything at all. They close & hung up on you when you call to request for a service. The pool is not clean at all very very dirty hard to swim on it or relax, the bed are dirty also. But the most worst thing about this hotel is the restaurant my family booked in this hotel and just before 3 days from today on 16 march they want to eat in the restaurant they ask one employee there his name was Pree is the food halal or not mr. Pree answer by yes there is some food halal so they order one meal after finish on the other day a 6 years old boy wake up with a high fever and strong cough and stomach pain then he go to drink water immediately he vomit it after that for two days he can’t eat or drink anything because he vomit everything his condition start to decline fast also Allergies and red spots appeared on his body then his mom go again to the restaurant to ask another employee about the food his answer was very shocking as he said that the hotel never make halal food so we called the Saudi Foreign Ministry and Saudi Embassy in Thailand and we raised a complaint against the hotel and then go to Bangkok Hospital Phuket and they make the tests and the result came positive that he is poisoned because of food And we don’t recommend this...

I had an extremely disappointing stay at the Dara Hotel in Phuket, which unfortunately did not meet any of my expectations. Despite specifically booking a non-smoking room, I was greeted with a strong cigarette odor the moment I entered, which was particularly concerning as I am asthmatic. When I brought this issue to the attention of the reception, I received no assistance or sympathy, leaving me in a situation that could have seriously compromised my health.

Moreover, the overall condition of the room was below par, with all the equipment feeling outdated and as if it hadn’t been replaced or updated in years. The bathroom was another major letdown; it was evident that it hadn't been cleaned properly, further adding to my discomfort during my stay.

The only redeeming feature of this hotel is its location, being a minute away from the Central Phuket town Mall. However, this alone is far from enough to make up for the myriad of issues I encountered. It's disheartening to see such neglect and disregard for guest comfort and health standards.
