We visited Sud Siam Park in the morning and enjoyed a relaxing walk around the area. The park is spacious and clean, with lots of locals doing their morning exercise or bringing kids to the playground. It has a nice community feel. There are several interesting monuments and statues with history info boards (in Thai), a mini pavilion, and a small stadium. We didn’t go into the museum, but the outdoor area itself is great for casual strolling and photo-taking. A peaceful spot to unwind and enjoy the local vibe in Betong.

The local authority must have a specific idea of promoting certain events when they decided to build this park but fall short of ideas leaving this place short of an attractive theme to go by. Too many man made figurines that do not gave a specific purpose nor were there any explanations for building and displaying them to the public/tourists. The museum was abandoned and left to grow into a white elephant. The only interesting attractions I get is the cleanliness of the surrounding park. Short of sign boards for directions, though this place is not complicated but you still need to find your way back to town which is about 10 minutes walk away. No iconic attractions to give good ratings and write encouraging reviews, very plane for any projective fascination to appeal for better drawing power. I imagined going for an evening stroll instead of being a tourist. Have fun if you find it...
