The Tunnel — Restaurant in Yala Province

The Tunnel is located right opposite Hotel Hello where I am staying. Since I am celebrating my parents' birthday, it's only natural that I prefer some decent bar with no ladies going from table to table. This is more like a sports bar. Located right in front of the Mongkolrit tunnel and which makes it very convenient for tourists.

The bar opens from around 5 pm till around 1 am. Since I'm there during non-peak days, am not sure if it is crowded during the weekends. The price is cheap and the recommended food especially the friend snapper deserves a huge thumbs up. The only thing poor is it is very hot and would be great if they can invest in more air conditioner/air cooler. Betong ain't no highlands so it’s humid and hot.

Another poor thing that leads me to give only 3 stars is their service. The floor staff is not that responsive. Many times our mug is dry, and they can't be bothered to refill it. We were there to celebrate our parents' birthday and we brought a cake. While they are kind enough to keep the cake in the fridge and light up the candle for us, they did not bring small plates until we asked for them. After giving us the small paper plate, they did not give us a fork until we had to ask for it. We got a huge spoon instead.

The price was ok. Not very expensive. Parking wise, walking is better as there’s no parking available if you...

The whole town is too clean .only found one rubbish only .

Very surprised. This place have peace . Air is good . Food is great. Tomyum white is very spicy . I bought the wine from winseller nearby , so can bring here to drink .coz same supplier. Maybe the two shop same boss , coz we see the boss come restaurant.

Perhaps one of the most happening bar in Betong town. If you're seated at the balcony, you'll get a good view over looking the Betong Tunnel. If you're here over the weekend, reservation is recommended. Usually popular amongst Malaysian. Good variety of Thai food here, with draught beer ranging from hoegaarden to Budweiser to Chang beer.
