Replying to @Jess47 Even though I didn’t make it to the top, visiting the Astoria Column was such a great experience. We spent over an hour just soaking in the views, which are just as amazing from the ground, and even ran into a TikTok friend, hi Abbey 👋 The Column is definitely going to be a regular stop on our Astoria trips. Next time we’ll bring a picnic and check out the trails too. I don’t know if I’ll ever get over my fear and climb to the top, but honestly that’s okay. I can still enjoy it just as much from below. 📍Astoria Column 1 Coxcomb Dr Astoria, OR 97103 #AstoriaOregon #PDXAdventures #OregonCoast #traveloregon #thingstodoinastoria

Before you begin your ascent, be sure to visit the on-site gift shop. Here, you can purchase small gliders, which you can launch from the top of the column. This fun activity adds an extra layer of enjoyment to your visit and is particularly popular with children and...

What a real piece of AMAZING history!! 1st, the pass you pay $5 for gives you 1 year of entrance opportunity and a 10% off coupon for your first purchase in the gift shop. ( it's only open until 6 pm ). Now on to the cool stuff. Next to the parking lot, they have several very nice and comfortable chairs to view an extraordinary panoramic sight of the Columbia River and the huge ships that use it. At one point, the river is about 4 miles across. From that vantage point, you can see the...

The Astoria Column is an iconic and historic landmark located in Astoria, Oregon, that offers a breathtaking experience both in terms of history and panoramic views. Standing 125 feet tall, this tower is intricately decorated with a spiral mural that beautifully chronicles key moments in Pacific Northwest history, from the Lewis and Clark Expedition to the arrival of the railroad. The artistry and detail in the mural are impressive, making it a must-see for anyone interested in history or...
