TLDR; this location is wonderful and worth the cost. It’s also in a great area where you can wander around exploring before or after. Full details: This was experience was fantastic! I was a little nervous unsure what to expect, but they direct you through the process and were friendly. We went in the morning on the day prior to our departure which made it a perfect end to the trip. First you’re led upstairs to change. I was with my husband and they gave us a pair of shorts for him, shorts and a bikini top for me, and each a towel. We shared a changing room. Then we went back downstairs and were given wooden shoes which were entertaining to walk in. 😂 Then we were directed to use the toilet. After we were lead into the hot room where we were lucky enough to have it all to ourselves while we lounged and sweated. Just as we felt we needed to step out for a min, the two men were arriving to scrub us. First we sat as they gently scrubbed us with the exfoliating mitt. Then we laid on the marble table and they massaged us each with bubbles. It was all very gentle and relaxing. I wasn’t sure about having a man wash me, but he was very respectful and it didn’t feel violating at all. Before finishing they even had us sit again to wash our hair. Finally we were lead out to remove our wet outfits and wrap ourselves in towels. Then we sat and enjoyed some tea before heading back upstairs to dress.

MUST TRY in Istanbul! Superb experience!!! ❤️ First time visiting Türkiye and Turkish Bath have been in my bucket list for a long time. It’s pricey (€70 pp) BUT totally worth it, no regret, especially in this real historical hamam architecture. We thought there would be other visitors at the same time slot, but we are the only customers. The whole procedure is detailed explained in the confirmation email and in the changing cabin. Staff will guide and explain to the next step, no worries at all. If you wear eye glasses, make sure you have them with you all the time because you need to see this beautiful building and walk to different rooms :) They only have male masseurs. I am a woman but I feel VERY comfortable with the masseur. He is very professional and polite. (If I remember his name is Vanfadol(?)) They are really working hard in such a hot environment. Thank you! Before we decided to do Turkish bath I read some reviews of other hamams. Many people said it’s painful when scrubbing and harsh on the body. BUT both my boyfriend and I feel very good especially after a long walk in the city. Don’t trust the rumors. Highly recommend if you visit Istanbul!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🫧🫧

Would realistically give this 3.5 stars. Pros: - amazing historical Hamam used by actual sultans - very nice aesthetic - one of the few Hamams that allow couples to go in together (which is the primary reason we went here) Cons: - the hamam attendant I had was very impatient and rude and appeared to be phoning it in. This being my first hamam experience and him having broken English wasn’t the most conducive to getting things right the first time and a bit more compassion from the attendant would be appreciated. After all, I’d guess 99% of the folks visiting this hamam are not Turkish. I get that it’s a rough job and can’t be easy but I expected a much better scrub experience (barely 5 mins is what I got) and just overall a more calming time. - the rude attendant made this more of a stressful session than the supposed relaxing, refreshing experience I had paid for. Overall, maybe it was just the attendant. The space is beautiful and very surreal and as mentioned before, of historical significance. 75Euro (cash only) as of mid May 2024.

Wonderful setting in a historical Hamam! The services were all very professional and the overall experience was wonderful. However, I felt that the scrubbing and soaping could have been longer! The price was high for the amount of time spent there! Bookings could only be made online but their booking system was excellent! I had to cancel and rebook due to another excursion I had arranged but the system sent out automatic updates and confirmations so it was no problem! I liked the authenticity and the rituals and we were supplied with underwear and a pestenal ( thin towel) to wear! My husband found the heat overwhelming in the hot room and had to go out into a cooler room several times so I would not recommend the Hamam for people with breathing problems!

We had a lovely relaxing time at the Turkish Baths.. The experience was fpr a couple together. Webhd the place to ourselves for the duration. Were both given bottoms and a bikini top with a linen wrap. It was wonderful. And then the bathing bit with massage was done with both of us in the same area. It was great. Very professional, care was taken and they showed concern for us asking if we were feeling ok as we went along. So worth it. Definitely a must if visiting Istanbul. Very relaxing. And outside there is a lot of construction etc at present but don't be put off. The interior didn't match the external area. It was wonderfully calm and spacious and beautiful inside. The outside world felt a million miles away.

Magnificent! I visited Istanbul 13 years ago and always regretted not visiting a Turkish bath. This place absolved me of that regret. Firstly the architecture and overall experience of the space is transformative. You truly feel like you are stepping back 400 years and having a bath with your friends from the sultan's court. Lying on the hot marble getting ready for your bath is completely relaxing. The bath and massage is outstanding. The staff could not be more gracious and attentive. And the price is less than a standard 60 minute massage back home. Please don't torture yourself with years of regret like I did - treat yourself to a wonderful and unforgettable experience!
