Kubbe-i Aşk — Restaurant in Fatih

Came here in 2017, 2020 and 2023. The last two visits service was slow and forgetful. In 2020 they sat us down and just forgot to bring our drinks, we just left after a like 35min. My last visit here in 2023 I went up to the roof, asked if the breakfast was for two people and they said yes. While paying I saw the given price was per person. Besides that it was very windy, a bird pooped on my friend and the included limitless tea that is part of the breakfast was just forgotten. We asked to drink the tea in a lower floor so we wouldn't have to fight birds and the wind anymore and they said ok. They kinda forgot us again, when we went down, I typed this whole thing while still sitting here waiting for my tea.

Update: About the tea, I was first told by the worker. Dude I'm gonna bring you the best tea you have drunk in your life. I though great, but as I wrote already he forgot. Anyway while switching down same guy tells me dude drink as much tea as u want it's on us, great I mean how much tea can I consume after my food but whatever. We sit down, they forget, I ask them, they are like ohh u guys where supposed to get tea? I explaine what happened, they are alright so just one tea? At this point I told like 6 ppl working here what's going on and I just expected it. Really frustrating experience in the end, started great. Wish they would've told me the breakfast price is per person and they would've just had us looked after with the stupid tea thing.

In general the place is not bad, the location is good, the view is unreal and the food is okay. However the service is extremely slow and really bad. Imagine there are 6 people and you still sit for at least 15 minutes waiting for the menu - until you ask for it. It was our friend birthday and they took almost 30 minutes to bring the cake - we asked at least 3 different staff 😅😅 When they brought the cake that was it, no plate and no cutlery. Then we asked and it took another 5 minutes, they bring the plates and as they put on the table they gotta being it back because it was so dirty. They come back with less dirty ones cuz they definitely were not properly clean. Then they take the cake to cut it, they come back with the slices of cake on plates so they remove all other plates again 😅😅😅 I’m not gonna lie, it was really interesting and fun to watch how a team can work this bad and how there is zero communication. I don’t want to blame only the staff, management should definitely be held accountable if you have 6 floor staff and only 4 tables and they still manage to mess it all.

Anyway, the cake was vey delicious and the pasta I got was ok, sauce was nice but the chicken was bad.

Scamming tourists! It was the worst experience I've had so far in Istanbul. You feel that they want you to reach a certain amount of spending without your will, and when you show that you don't want to, they treat you badly. It's overpriced we paid too much (more than 400TL) for just 2 glasses of juice, a cup of coffee and Hookah. Despite that, I was ok with paying the price until I received the bill which shows an additional 10% labelled with nothing. When I asked the waiter, who speaks broken English, about it he said it's for something called "service" I said what service isn't that supposed to be your job? To serve people? He just kept saying service like a robot. I would've tipped him well if he treated us well. We just didn't feel comfortable at all during the 2 hours we spent. They were treating us with disrespect (maybe for refusing to order so many things). The view is amazing that's the only positive thing. If you are a tourist, and you decide to go to this place, you will be scammed! Beware and stay away...
