Alliance Française de Kampala — Attraction in Kampala

AVOID SWAHILI CLASSES AT ALLIANCE FRANCAISE. I had a disappointing experience with online Swahili classes at Alliance Française in April 2023. The course was overpriced at $20/hour (UGX 690,000 for 10 classes, paid upfront with no option to have a trial class). After payment was confirmed, there was no follow-up from Alliance Francaise to check on my learning experience. The teacher lacked online teaching skills and conducted the classes using Zoom’s free version, which disconnects every 45 minutes. This could have been acceptable if they were actually making use of the Zoom functionalities. Instead, they failed to utilize basic Zoom tools like screen sharing or chat. The lessons felt like phone calls, with poorly taken screenshots of a textbook sent via WhatsApp prior to the class. For a language institute, this was unprofessional and disappointing. Alliance Française should stick to teaching French. As a fluent speaker of four languages and a passionate learner of foreign languages, I advise others not to waste their time and money here on...

I went to watch a concert ... I can only comment on the acoustics of the basement 😄

It's not bad, it doesn't sound hollow, just maybe improve on the overall sound system or not ... will comment again when I go watch another concert ☺

As for the concert itself ... the opening story was nice but the opening act was forgettable, can't even say it's raw talent coz there's nothing raw nor talent...
