This being my first trip to Uganda and in Kampala, I had no idea of what to expect of accommodations. I was very pleasantly surprised.||||We are living at Nyumba 591 for three months on a work/exchange program. As a student and temporary resident I couldn't ask for a better location. Nyumba is a quick (7-8 minute walk or a 2 minute motorcycle taxi ride) to grocery stores, markets, cafes and Acacia mall. It also allows for easy and quick access to some of Kampala's most popular bars and nightlife (should you choose to explore it).||||The on-site staff are professional, friendly and helpful, and the owner has been quick to respond to our requests and answer any questions we may have about Nyumba and Kampala in general. It has made the transition to life in Kampala easier and less stressful than it may have been otherwise.||||The kitchen is well stocked with essential items- pots, pans, utensils, tea kettle, etc - and the compound and rental units kept very tidy. Our space has a small flat screen you can plug your laptop into, or just catch the news.||||I really have enjoyed Nyumba so far, and would definitely recommend staying here. to sum it up - good location, great staff, and...
