High end premium dining located on one of the most affluent buildings in the country. Expect to dine with the cream dela cream. It exudes quality and expect nothing less.
For some reason there is a waitress for every table. Even just coughing is enough to get immediate assistance πππ. The girls stand gorgeously dressed in their cream and black trousers wearing big smiles.ππ I reckon you would send them a million times without an objection. For me a tip was inevitable.π
The cafe designed is modern adaption of open space concept where the kitchen is connected to the dinning area. Warm pendant lights hang from a black painted ceiling to create a flamboyant ambience. I was in awe by the detailed layout, partly the reason the place is irresistible for good quality dinning. For its footprint, they easily could be employing over 50 staff, which is impressive for such a small setting.
Finally I tasted their famous ice cream π¨π¦ and its unrivalled around town. They have have a wide range of flavours and you will be certain to get your...
Β Β Β Read moreOnly put one star (otherwise you can't review). Any good reviews on this restaurant are probably friends of staff or staff themselves. The food, like the bakery is over priced for the quality. The smallest apple pie I have ever seen at 8 or 9 thousand (they make one pie everyday so good luck with finding one). And the watery burger is probably the worse burger I have ever had ( I could only eat 25%) and I have had burgers all over the world. I cannot say anything good about the place even most the staff especially the supervising ones are too proud to listen to any complaints, the table next to ours once tried to complain (about what looked like very dry overcooked bits of meat) to a supervisor trying to get the waitress to call one, when the waitress went to the senior on shift... she just vanished into thin air!! The Mesa over the road is much better value and better service, we have been back since but like to sit inside ( too many posers outside) order a coffee and pay straight off. Like I said only gave one star to be...
Β Β Β Read moreI have had the best and worst experiences in this place. But it's still one of my top favorite restaurants in Kampala. Most of the time, the staff is lovely. Other times, I regret going there but those are rare. The food is always in plenty and filling. I love my chicken breast on most occasions. It's also a calming environment with the soft music playing in the background, not too loud for conversations, but not too empty to scare away people. I love to walk in for the mocha cake every once in a while. If you don't want to be near smokers, stay indoors, at least I have learnt the hard way. And also for the rude waitresses, just call another person to handle the table. There is always someone with a smile willing to take on the table. I think management should warn their waitresses about gossiping about the customers in the language they think someone won't understand, I understood the not so nice remark made back then. But I still love the place, I would definitely...
