I am a traveller and came to Kyiv just for a couple of days. I was looking for a synagogue to celebrate the first day of Rosh Hashanah. And fortunately, I found this beautiful place with a guidance from locals I met on the district.
I didn't know if they'll allow me to enter, but since I came I was friendly welcomed to join the celebration, met nice people and felt amazing energy all around. We sang, laugh, enjoyed, and had really good time altogether.
I'm so thankful for the synagogue to let me get in touch with the native culture and celebrate the new year in a wonderful atmosphere. It's always a bit challenging for me during my trips to find good places as first of all each synagogue is about a community. That's why I highly appreciate such moments when I can feel myself at home again, even being far away from a real one.
And... I have to mention a pretty interesting cuisine they had prepared for Rosh Hashanah. It was quite delicious and original, I've been unexpectedly surprised by it.
