City Garden — Attraction in Odesa Urban Hromada

SCAM ALERT! 🚨⚠️ Sep 19, 2021 First time visiting Odessa with my husband we were enjoying our visit until our experience was ruined by aggressive ‘pigeon’ scammers in Mis’skyy park. We entered the park from the Derybasivska street and almost immediately were confronted by a young woman with exotic pigeon who insisted we pet her pigeon and take pictures. After we declined her offer she briefly followed us with offers to take pictures with her pigeon and my husband eventually asked the price and this woman said 100 UAH, we agreed to take pictures for 100 UAH. While one of the women was taking our pictures, her assistant came with more pigeons and placed several more pigeons on our arms and shoulders. It took about one minute and after they took pictures both women walked up very close to my husband and demanded 600 UAH! When my husband asked why they changed the price from 100 to 600, one of the women shouted that it is 100 per pigeon! This was a total lie and we knew that we were being scammed.
