Passage Odesa — Hotel in Odesa Urban Hromada

When we arrived in Odessa I asked the taxi driver to take us to a very nice hotel. I think they pay him for every guest he brings to this hotel. It was hotter inside the hotel then the 102 degree day outside the hotel. To get any kind of cooling in the room you have to spend the night with the window open and the door to the room open and still I would rather sleep on a park bench. The elevator never worked and the service was really bad. There is never any hot water even when you pay for the rooms with hot water. The internet cafe is over priced and very slow. The beds are hard. The bells in the church clock tower in front of the hotel ring every hour on the hour and on the half hour all night long. I tried to pay using my credit card but their credit card machine would not work so I had to use the cash I had. There are many very nice places to eat outside the hotel but be careful eating at the hotel. At 8 am you will get a wake up call if you asked for one or not. The bank inside the bank has been closed for years I was told. There are many taxis out side the hotel but be sure to ask the price to take you where ever you are going, some taxi drivers will charge you up to 3 times what other taxi drivers will charge for the same ride. It is located very close to many of the sights. My best thought is find yourself a better hotel and enjoy you time in Odessa! Были с женой проездом одну ночь. Из номеров был выбор - или дорогой с горячей водой или дешевый без горячей. Взяли без горячей. К слову сказать холодная была не ледяной артезианской, а довольно теплой (была жара +35), наверное идет издалека и успевает прогреться.||||В номере рабочий холодильник 1913 года выпуска (шутка), ну реально ооочень старый советский, но рабочий вполне, хоть и тарахтит как трактор Беларусь. Ванна жуть и ужас. Но вообще я представлял себе как в этой гостинице 100 лет назад жили какие-нибудь господа из Петербурга проездом в Стамбул, интерьер с тех пор слабо поменялся. Даже романтично немного.||||Зато какой вид из окна - на Дерибасовскую! Сразу вспомнился фильм "На Дерибасовской хорошая погода, На Брайтон Бич опять идут дожди". На завтрак бутерброды с чаем. Ну хоть что-то. Стоянка была возле входа в виде незаконного самозахвата конусами, ну да ладно. И вообще весь это бардак внутри полностью невилируется самой Одессой. Например, пока искали гостиницу проехали Малую Арнаутскую улицу, сразу вспомнился знаменитая фраза про контрабанду. А если повезет и встретитесь где-нибудь в недрах гостиницы с настоящим одесситом, то пол часа разговора ни о чем пролетят как одно мгновение - "Да шо вы уже такое знаете, чего я вам ещё не рассказал?"||||Когда-нибудь инвестор выкупит эту гостиницу, поставит стеклопакеты, икеевскую мебель и металлопластиковые трубы, и будет, наверное, комфортнее, но чуточку грустно что прошлая эпоха безвозвратно уходит.
