Nice beach! If you're looking for a beach in Abu Dhabi with wavy sea then it's the one! Formerly known as Saadiyat Public Beach, the maintenance ownership is now taken over by Aldar and renamed it as "Kai Beach"!
The infrastructure, facilities are all almost similar as earlier. Prices are increased a lot! Maybe to control crowd. Nice away from city, peaceful environment.
As a summer promotion it costs 75AED per adult on weekdays and 95AED per adult on weekends including the umbrella and seating arrangement! Quite too high.
Water is complimentary (maybe only till summer time!) Outside food and beverages are not allowed.
As a takeover by new company you should not expect any upgrade in facilities.
A 500meter long beach has only 3 shower rooms and 3 toilet per gender and that too very cosy. Washrooms/Changing rooms are just near the entrance far away from actual beach! It would be quite conjusted and suffocating when crowded. (It would be surprising if this beach would even get crowded at this price point) Facilities Not worth the price! Earlier it used to be 25 and 35 AED which was ok. Its a sudden 200-250% hike in prices.
You have a small nice place to sit, a food truck, and a small bar near the entrance besides washrooms.
Few meters in the water have small rocks and then a few meters you may encounter some water plants (management needs to clean it). Earlier when it was public beach, it was better.
If I would rate only beach and water, I can give 4/5 but my rating would reduce to 3/5 just because of facilities not upto the mark at this price point. As a whole package it needs to be relooked and should be revised in a better way...
Read moreI am sorry to say, but this place is an absolute disaster. If you are used to Saadiyat Beach Club and the level they operate on, you should not step foot into this place.
Entrance on Friday was 150 aed. The service is extremely poor. From the very entrance, to the bar, to the beach.
Let me begin: They do not have food service at the beach (i.e. you order something and they bring it to you). You have to walk all the way up and down to order, and then come back for your food. They do not provide beach towels. I realized this when I was already at the beach. There are ladies that wear shirts with a name “Service” on their backs, so I asked them for help. Help was provided in following ways: • “We do not provide towels.” (In fact, they do) • “I cannot go get a towel for you.” (Meaning: “I’m too lazy to walk”) • “Give me money to bring you the towel.” (50 aed. When I told her I will pay with a card, she said she cannot do it) I wanted to lay with my friends (three sun beds next to each other). Answer: “We don’t move sun beds. It’s not allowed.” I then went on to bring a sun bed on my own, and no one said anything. Which means, it is allowed, she was just lazy to work. Service ladies are laying on cabanas like they’re guests. As much as I don’t care, it’s not a good look. Place is extremely poorly equipped. No music to create an atmosphere. Toilets… do not even get me started.
So, if you’re expecting to be treated as a guest, you may forget about that. Either go to Saadiyat Beach Club, some place else you know it’s good!, or stay home.
It’s safe to say I am never...
Read moreI come to Kai Beach for the sea — it’s God’s creation and truly beautiful. But the overall experience is disappointing, especially on Ladies’ Day. If you’re promoting a female-only concept, then male staff at the entrance and handling wristbands makes no sense. Please respect local customs and ensure female staff throughout.
What I witnessed yesterday was alarming and heartbreaking: a girl was drowning far out in the sea, and the lifeguard only whistled without entering the water. Guests were the first to help. Then the rest of team hurried in, Whist the overall effort is respected .This highlights the urgent need for better training, especially with strong waves.
Food and drinks are also poor. On a previous visit, the food was inedible. This time, they told us 45 minutes waiting time for food, which they then hand out to you as if you’re on a schoold trip with far from friendly faces as if its handed out for free, Coconuts were out of stock, and a plain Red Bull was AED 40 — no mocktail, no cocktail.. just a simple can.
Most importantly, if the team can’t safely manage this many guests, then either add more trained staff or reduce capacity. Safety must come first. Reservations or Timed entry slots would also help manage the crowd.
Additionally when we come, she checked our bags as if looking for illegal goods, it was ridiculous how she was digging in—if only the same efforts were put for human safety!!!!!
The beach is stunning, but the experience does not match. I hope management takes this...
