The Lake Park — Attraction in Abu Dhabi

Good about it: Good green areas. Nice lake with fountain. Ducks & geese swimming in the lake. Nice bridge with good lights in the middle of the lake. Different kids play areas. Paid Mawaqef parking available at the end of the park. (Don't get confused as there is a residential parking area around the park)

Bad about it: The worst bathrooms ever. The photos are attached. Took my kid to the bathroom but we could not withstand the horrible view & smell. There are multiple bathrooms but all closed except that awful one in the end of the park, I remember it had number 8 written on it, we had to use another yellow paid washroom for 2 AED. Found multiple people smoking there although there's a non smoking policy but security did not do anything about it. There's a large closed building near the other end of the park & saw some kids playing around, screaming & hitting the glass doors, security do nothing. The ducks can come out of the lake & cross the fence & might get hurt, witnessed a man pushing a dozen ducks back into the lake after they crossed the fence. The area on each side of the bridge located in the middle of the lake has a horrible smell due to ducks droppings & waste, needs continuous cleaning & observation. No sports devices for adult exercise, no specific running or cycling tracks, just one track for all. Unfortunately I saw some people throwing their stuff in the green areas, also many cats will come around you once you sit, as many of the trash pins have no closing lid.

Although there are good green areas & nice atmosphere, but will think multiple times before...
