There is nothing I can recommend about this hotel. It’s a 5 stars hotel, and it didn’t even feel like 3 stars, definitely not in the level of 5 stars in Abu Dhabi. First of all, in the check in we waited longer than 20 minutes, because only one receptionist worked. She was calling other employees to join her more than a few times, but they stayed at the back and chose not to join even though the line got crazy. Even when her team manager came and we asked her what’s going on, she said give just a moment to check and then she disappeared and never came back. Then when we got to the room it wasn’t clean enough, toilet was broken in a few places, dust in a few places, shower curtain was disgusting, and bathtub was not white anymore (it had some black stains. In addition, even though the room was for 2 adults and we had 2 beds, we still got only one towel (no towel for the other guest and no floor towel). The day after, they cleaned the room and they provided us only one towel again. The day after they didn’t even clean the room although the sign “please make the room” was on since 09:40 am and until we arrived back at 20:30 pm!!!! Regarding electricity, there is option to charge the phone near one of the beds.. the other one doesn’t have electricity near to. Regarding breakfast - it was one of the worst I have ever had! Such a small variety, less than 3 stars hotels usually provide in Dubai, and this is a 5 stars hotel!! Food wasn’t good, it wasn’t tasty, and not many options to choose from so you are stuck with it. As a 5 stars hotel I would expect a lot more! In addition, we were not listed for breakfast even though we paid for it. First breakfast, they called the reception to make sure we really paid, and then the day after exactly the same like they can’t study from previous mistakes and correct it for tomorrow (same with the towels in the room). About the pool, it was so disappointing that we didn’t use it. Last thing was the hypocrisy with environmental issues. They suggest not to change bed linen in order to save water and keep the environment cleaner, and at the same time they proved to each room so many small plastic bottles of shampoo and conditioner and etc. instead of providing a big bottle or a dispenser. It looks like they don’t really care about the environment, but they are happy to use this excuse in order to save money on laundry. To sum up, we were really disappointed and can’t understand how do they...
Read moreI can’t help but review Corniche Hotel. The room is okay for an old hotel which does not seem to have been renovated. The bed is fine and the aircon. However, the small toilet’s flush does not function properly and there is no bidet.
The room service is fast, I can’t complain. At first, I could not connect my laptop to their wifi and their technician attended to fix it quickly. The staff are very nice.
I was so excited to get up for our breakfast. This is one thing that I look forward to whenever I stay in the hotel. I went straight ahead to order omelet and then checked the menu.
In their menu, the only choices are baked beans, boiled egg, boiled carrots, scrambled eggs, sausage and there’s one more item which is not so familiar to me. They have grilled potato which tasted to be reheated, the pancakes are somewhat crispy (???). They only have honey for pancakes. There were only 2 kinds of cheese, some items to make salad, beef and chicken cold cuts but these are all NOT worth for the money. To our dismay, we complained about it with one of their staff but of course, all we could do is to eat whatever is there. I mean, me and my friend had been to different hotels and we really recommend those ones which are up to our standard. Please also change the bread toaster and make sure that coffee cups do not have cracks.
“Sorry to say,” their breakfast is my worst experience. I would not recommend it to my friends. I hope the management will improve it. I have high expectations for a 5 star hotel and I cannot stretch my rating same based on my experience.
I am sorry for my review, this is not to brag but staying in the hotel is one of my stress relievers that’s why I had been to countless of hotels and I could compare the amenities, food and experience. If you would check my other reviews, I gave 5 star to those restaurants and places wherein I had an impeccable experience and stay.
On a lighter side, I would like to commend one of their staff, Merrychris. She’s so nice, approachable and helpful.
I am seated in their restaurant while writing this review and still could not believe how we were scammed (😂😂😂). for the amount that we paid for the brekky.

Read moreThis is the loweend of five star hotels in Abu Dhabi. I booked this for the reason that we arrive almost past the day we booked and we will be on a safari for another evening.
It was a satisfactory stay for the price we paid. However to know what to expect from the hotel, you can read the below.
Negatives
Checkin experience was way below par at midnight. Had to lug in the luggage on our own until I saw someone and asked for help. The person reluctantly helped. Reception was dark and dingy. Rom, who checked us in was terrible, very cold and absolutely no greeting or conversation. When asked for a good room, was told it's a good room. Found out that it was a accessible room. Shower was 4 feet high and bar around bath made it impossible. Unacceptable behaviour and room allocation from Rom at check in counter. Worn out rooms, rips in furniture and stains on sofas etc. Most of staff are untrained. Restaurant staff very slow to clear plates. Restaurant host and chef always chatting away, not even acknowledging presence. Vihanga was quite aggressive and hostile towards me when asked why he saw but still did not clear the plates. Began lecturing us. Totally unprofessional behavior. Literally non existent concierge. No alternative pillow(firm) Poor quality toiletry. No one will wish or greet.
Positives
Good location. Everything you might need to visit is just $10-$20 Uber away. Taxi is cheaper. Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque is the only far away location. Cheapest option in the 5 star range in Abu Dhabi. Great breakfast - Especially the pastry chef makes amazing croissants. Great quality produce. Very kind, accomplished and professional day receptionist (guessing Indian) who heard what happened with us during chec in and the accebility room. and upgraded our room. There was a very kind Bangladeshi waiter who I spoke with everyday in the breakfast restaurant. Excellent air-conditioning. Excellent quality bedding. Great views on...
