Bait El Khetyar was one of my favorite restaurant in AUH. But unfortunately I don’t like the way they response to a complaint and being treated differently or unfairly because of our race and ethnicity.
First, I ordered the usual Beef Shawarma. Along with my takeaway shawarma. And other dine in foods. I received the shawarma then I just had my first bite, and I didn’t like the taste. To be exact there’s an after taste with the meat.. and I informed the waiter right away to be fair with us just to change it to Chicken if possible. Both order 1 Dine in and 1 takeaway. Blah! Blah! Blah! To make the story short. It turns out that they can’t change the dine in because I bite it already! Just WOW! They also didn’t remove it from the BILL! Even we didn’t eat it!! And that’s ridiculous. How come, you just bite it and wanted to change the food because there’s something wrong with the meat! Then they will still charge you for it?! What if I’m very hungry at that time and eat the meat, even there’s something wrong with it. I’m sure it’s going to be a big problem for you guys!
I know it’s not your loss. You have a lot of costumers! Well. Thank you for not being approachable when it comes to complaints. Wish you all the best!!
By the way I add the picture of it. We cut it into half. And just one...
Read moreI found a tempting 50% discount and free delivery on Careem, saw Beit El Khetyar – Hamdan and remembered all the shiny ads I’d seen everywhere — so I thought, let’s give it a try . Well… I wish I didn’t. Lost my money and my appetite 🤦🏻♀️
• Chicken Liver Sandwich: the liver was fresh and nicely cooked, but the sandwich was completely dry — no tahini, no hummus, not even a drop of garlic sauce. Just dry bread and silence , 2/5 .
• Chicken Escalope Sandwich: very average — nothing impressive about it; definitely not something I’d repeat , 2/5 .
• Beef & Potato Sandwich: from the name, you’d expect something fancy — but it’s just minced meat with egg, tomato, pickles, and something white — not sure if it was cheese or labneh — but there was no salt, no flavor, nothing. The taste was weird and not really clear , 1/5 .
• Cheese & Meat Manoushe: I ordered meat with cheese, but got cheese with zaatar. The dough was soft, I’ll admit, but I don’t eat zaatar — so that was pointless .
Final thoughts? For a restaurant that invests so much in advertising, maybe try investing a little in bread that isn’t dry and old. Every sandwich felt like a struggle 🥴
First time ordering, and definitely...
Read moreLet me start by food here. The Meat shawerma with Qudsi bread was good but toooo much garlic sauce. The chicken shawarma was tasty but came in regular bread and I have to pay more for Saj which doesn’t make any sense. Shawarma should be with Saj bread by default. The Fajita was also tasty but again the bread wasn’t.
I came to AD to visit Yas on so I decided to try this restaurant. But the location had only 9 parking spots and I had to scan the area for 10 mins to find a parking about 5 mins away walking. Went inside and ordered, the order of only 4 sandwiches took around 16 mins to be ready. Not to mention there weren’t any seats to wait for your order. Only seats available at the back and if you sit there you will not hear the cashier calling your token number, so you must stand in front of the cashier for that whole period in crowded place.
All and all average experience for food, and would only recommend if you live in the area or you order to home, unless you have 30 mins to spare to find a parking and...
