Great Stay in the Heart of Dubai’s Business bay, with a Few Surprises Compared to Other Radisson Blu Properties …. We had a great stay at this Radisson Blu—especially at such a reasonable price point. The check-in experience was excellent; the staff was friendly, and we were even offered a complimentary room upgrade being a platinum member, which set a very positive tone for our visit. The hotel is in a fantastic location, right in the heart of Business Bay—walking distance to Dubai Mall, Social District, and a 24-hour Al Maya supermarket. It’s also very convenient for online food deliveries. The pool view was stunning, the gym and spa services were top-notch, and the apartment itself was spacious and offered an incredible view. Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. That said, there were some differences in policies and experiences compared to other Radisson Blu properties we’ve stayed at in Europe, Asia, and the US. One notable aspect was the breakfast pricing. We were repeatedly encouraged to opt for the breakfast package, but we only wanted to try it for one day. We were told that if we committed to breakfast every day, it would cost 70 AED per person per day. However, if we only wanted breakfast for a single day, the price jumped to 120 AED per person. This was quite surprising—especially as a Radisson Platinum member, where we usually receive at least a 10% discount on dining by default. In the end, we chose not to take breakfast at all. Another key difference was the payment policy. In most Radisson Blus around the world, we are only charged during checkout, with all services consolidated into a single detailed invoice. This has always been convenient, especially when using an international American Express card, as it helps avoid multiple transaction fees. However, at this property, we were told we’d have to pay for each service—like room service or spa—at the time of use. Due to this, we ended up not using any room service, even though we’ve always loved Radisson’s consistently excellent offerings in that area. We also missed the casual games area often found in Radisson properties in Europe—pool tables, air hockey, foosball, etc. Having a drink at the bar followed by a game is something we always enjoy, and its absence here was noticeable. In line with Radisson’s “Save Water” initiative, we usually opt for housekeeping every alternate day. However, on one of the days we did expect service, the room wasn’t vacuumed and the bed sheets weren’t changed, even though complimentary water and coffee were restocked. While it was a bit confusing, we didn’t raise a complaint—mistakes can happen, and as loyal Radisson guests, we were happy to overlook this minor issue. All in all, this was a great experience with some regional differences to be aware of. We appreciate the high standards of Radisson Blu and look forward to exploring other Radisson Blu properties across Dubai in the coming months.

The service is very slow. Don’t expect someone to answer right away when you call for anything- they will always call back after 5-10 mins to hear what you need. I forgot my BAG and although they had my husband’s Kuwaiti no., they didn’t call. I’m Emirati, so when I found out late night that my bag was missing, I had to go back and get it because it had all my medications & some need the fridge ! It was Ramadan 21 so a VERY important night, I called the hotel to my bag ready so that I won’t have to wait ! Reached around 2:30 am, the security informed me that my ID is not enough, my husband’s ID is .. which I have pic of and not the actual cuz he’s in KWT ! I told him plz send someone from reception to my car or give me a number I can send the ID through ! He went & left me waiting in my car for 15 mins, although I told security I’m an Emirati, we have traditions and a woman DOES NOT go down alone into a hotel at 2:30 am ! I got furious and went to the reception just to be more SHOCKED that the receptionist was an ARAB EGYPTIAN ( Ahmed Shabaan ) ! He’s an Arab & supposed to respect Arab culture ! But NoOoO, he decided to be bossy that night ! He asked for an email from my husband- I sent him the ( authorization letter ) from a joint email both me & my husband use. He didn’t accept it cuz it has my name on it 😂 I called my husband in KWT and asked him to send another email from an email that has his email on it - ALL THIS AND EVERY TIME HE GOES IN TO CHECK THE EMAIL IT TOOK 15 mins ! Finally, the email reaches now it’s time for the bag ( which I called an hour earlier to keep ready !) - Then the Manager, a very KIND GENTLEMAN apologized and allowed me to go wait in the car and he will personally bring the ( received document ) to sign ! Mr Hasan, thank you for being such a true ARAB GENTLEMAN - with respect to our culture & traditions. Mr Ahmed Shaaban, you need ALOT of customer service training ! And don’t treat all nationalities in the same manner plz .. especially Emiratis .. Yes we are PROUD our country is leading in tourism but our culture, traditions & religion WILL NOT go down the drain because of ppl like you ! All the paperwork you needed could have been sent to you while a respected Emirati lady is sitting in her car at 2:30 am - and make sure that I could have sent my driver but my medication would have spoiled by then. Your attitude was very cold a disrespectful for a woman. As an Arab yourself you should know that ! Even the manager was upset and said kindly, I would not accept this to my wife, mom or sis ! Are you ashamed of our culture Mr Ahmed Basheer ?

I had a mixed experience at this hotel and would likely not return. Positives: • The staff, aside from those at the tour operations desk and the supposedly independent taxi service, were outstanding—extremely friendly and helpful, truly earning an A+ in customer service. • After extending my stay, the hotel provided complimentary breakfasts to address initial room issues and offered light refreshments one evening. Negatives: • Upon arrival, my room had several set-in carpet stains and hairs on the mattress. The serviceman was kind and tried his best to clean the room, but some stains remained. Unfortunately, other rooms I viewed had similar issues. This level of cleanliness is disappointing for a 5-star property. • While it didn’t bother me personally, it’s worth noting (as other reviewers have) that the noise from nearby construction can be disruptive for light sleepers. Additionally, the pool appears smaller than advertised and overlooks construction. Concerns with Services: 1. Taxi Services: The independent taxi operator outside the hotel misrepresented his services as the hotel’s. He raised prices once I entered the “hotel taxi” and failed to arrange a regular taxi he had promised to provide. 2. Tour Pricing: I booked an Abu Dhabi day tour through the hotel with Rayna Tours and was charged $115 USD—over three times the standard rate listed by Rayna Tours. I only discovered this markup when I was planning to leave a review on the Rayna Tours website. This felt unreasonably excessive. 3. Shuttle Information: Complimentary shuttle services to key attractions like Dubai Mall and Kite Beach were poorly communicated. I learned about them through another guest. Unless you visit the concierge, you wouldn’t know they exist. Reception should inform guests upon check-in or provide a pamphlet outlining shuttle services or direct guests to the concierge desk. Overall, while most of the staff were exceptionally kind and friendly, the cleanliness and lack of service transparency need significant improvement to meet the expectations of a 5-star hotel.

My family and I had an amazing stay at the Radisson Blu waterfront. The staff was very welcoming from the moment we got out the taxi. Leslie, Heba, Alo were very accommodating when getting our bags. We arrive early and all our room were not ready and some members of my family could not decide what they wanted to take with them while exploring Dubai. The staff happily took suitcases up and down trying to make sure that everyone got what they needed.

Rooms My family booked 3 rooms. They were very clean. The bathroom was clean and sheets and towels were nice and fresh. Amar ensure that our room and bathroom was very clean. He would surprise use with different towel made animals every evening on our beds.

Food My family opted for breakfast included during our stay. Let me tell you that this was a great decision. The breakfast was amazing. They had great options for those that eat meat or don’t eat meat. The food was so good and well seasoned. The breakfast was good and had a mix of cultural dishes as well.

Tours We decided to book our tours directly with the hotel once we got there because we were a group of 6 and it was easier to coordinate. We worked with Dipak. He was very helpful in getting our family to have an enjoyable experience in Dubai. We book the desert safari tour, hop on hop off sight sighing bus and the 90 minutes cruising in Dubai Marina. We had a great experience each time with excellent service.

There is a small gift shop at the hotel. If you forgot to grab a souvenir you may be able to get a last minute thing here. It’s a small selection.

Location The location of this hotel is generally good. It’s not too far from attractions. There is construction happening at the adjacent property so depending on where you get your room, your skyline will be construction. In a regular city this hotel location seems very walkable to get to attractions but don’t be fooled, the heat in the summer makes it un-walkable and it not a very pedestrian friendly city. There is not always a direct way for pedestrians to cross the street without walking to a cross over pedestrian bridge.

Costumer service The costumer service was excellent at the hotel. All team members ensured that guest were taken care of. After checking out, my aunty realized that she forgot her scarf. We were already back at the airport. I was able to get in contact with the hotel and they located the scarf and held it for us for about 11 days until we returned to Dubai to pick it up. Abbasi and his team were very helpful...
