Read moreWell, the name itself speaks for its reputation, excitement to be there and the adrenaline rush… it is the WORLD’s LONGEST ZIPLINE FLIGHT at the JEBEL JAIS MOUNTAIN…!!! OMG, where do I start from – even coming to think of it while writing this review, I literally has excitement goosebumps. It is a must visit place (once in a lifetime) for those who love adventure, excitement and the “adrenaline” rush. Some of the facts include – it is the World's Longest Zipline Certified by Guinness World Records, 2 ziplines - 2 people at any 1 time in 'Superman' position, a single span of 2,832 meters with an average speed of 120 kph and a breathtaking launching platform located at 1,680 meters above the sea level – can you imagine !!! It feels like you are a bird for few minutes soaring high in the sky, enjoying the amazing view of the mountain range flowing beneath you, with the roads expanding on high hilly region and the camping decks. Other eligibility criteria include height and weight restrictions – minimum height should be at 122 cms, minimum weight must be at 40 kg and maximum weight at 130 kg. Participants who are under the age of 18, yet meet the height and weight requirements can do the tour on their own, but will need to be accompanied and present a signed waiver by a parent or legal guardian to do so. Dress code suggested for taking the Jebel Jais Flight - must wear sturdy trainers, running shoes, or completely closed-toe shoes with good grip (flip flops, reefs, sandals, high heels, or loose footwear not allowed), typical athletic clothing is strongly suggested (dresses or skirts are not allowed - clothes should be able to withstand the rough terrain) and use sunblock at all the times. The operational hours of the Jebel Jais zipline are from Wednesday to Sunday (all public holidays) starting from 09:30 AM till 04:00 PM Apart from the Zipline tour, there are other on-site facilities which include Go-Pro rental service (costs about AED 135 for one zipline, but if you have your own Go-Pro you are allowed to carry & use it for video recording), ree car parking at the base level, rest-rooms and showers, gift shop and cafes.

Great offers in Aug, given the temperatures, my son went free. 1hr 15mins taxi drive from Al Marjan Island, lovely and clean facilities at the zip line checking, swift, clear & concise instructions in many languages. Harness, 'apron' canopy, helmet, goggles and camera attached. Jolly groups of instructors once ur taken in a minibus to the 'drop' point. Fun music & amazing views to get you into the feeling. After the 2-3mins superman zipline you transfer to a regular sitting zipline for 5 metres. Ice cold water waiting for you before transported back to the centre where you can have a delicious snack/meal at the highest restaurant in UAE. REALLY fun activity for anyone new to adrenaline.
