Fig Tree Espresso — Restaurant in Wales

Sometimes you have to search to find a gem and with many other coffee shops nearby this isn't the most obvious one on the street. However, go here and not the others. The coffee is excellent and the cakes are in another league. Of particular note was the coffee and pecan cake which is miles better than coffee and walnut, and easily the best coffee based cake I have ever had. Delightful little place. Delicious coffees and teas served in pretty china cups and mugs. The owners make the baked goods, and they are amazing! (both the owners and the cakes). I had the chocolate ginger cake. A tang of ginger, with plenty of cocoa flavour, not too sweet, plenty of icing. I can't wait to try some of the other items, the offerings vary weekly. In the summer there is a lovely garden in which to sit out and enjoy...
