Ferryman's Hut — Attraction in Alnmouth

Isn't it always lovely to discover something delightful about which one previously knew nothing! This was such a happy find! It is the kind of hut which looks absolutely "right" within the landscape which would be much poorer for its absence. Possibly of use as a wet weather shelter (bench seat within), it is full of framed photographs of old Alnmouth and of the old rowing boat ferries across the river mouth. The smallest Museum I've seen & probably the UK. In Alnmouth. Closed. Not open 24hrs. Was able to look in the windows. Beautiful tranquil surroundings and beautiful scenery next to the estuary.
